    Well, since you asked...
    I suspect it would be very difficult to succeed at educating an adversary already deemed a "moron".
    Until their perspective is understood (not endorsed, understood),
    they will be underestimated and attempts to educate will fail.

    "It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles;
    if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one;
    if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle."

    But of course, in general, FB is a monumental waste of time, yes?

    Cheers,

      Nope, you are not going to change minds on facebook. I just argue with them for fun.

        The only thing I see good coming from it is practicing your debating skills. Well, that and it can be amusing watching grown men try to argue logic with emotion.

          It's long been OK for leftists to shout down conservatives and not OK for conservatives to shout back. That's why we're losing. How did we ever let them get away with that? We lost our balls.

          Well.....it's finally time to start shouting back. Shout as loud as they shout. Shout even louder. Make them pay. Torture them with logic. Make them rip their hair out and turn beet red. Make there be a consequence for their idiocy. Only then will we slowly begin to turn the tide.

          If we remain as meek and silent as we have been for the past 50 years, we WILL lose. We are at the precipice.

          So go get 'em! Make it hurt.

            Actually, it's about planting specific strategic seeds. Generally, gunnies are better educated on the topic and anti's run out of steam after the first few MSM talking points and quotes are refuted.

            Educate yourself enough to be able to counter any anti argument and you'll tear them apart one at a time.

            I do this in public places every chance I get. Been shouted at, but I just stay quiet, calm, and let them rant and rave. It makes them look foolish and people have occasionally asked them to stop talking to hear what I have to say.

            They run out of steam within a few minutes.

            They ask rhetorical questions AS ARGUMENTS.

                  Darn. I got dragged in.

                  I shouldn't have said he was a moron. I was probably upset that somebody I don't know called me a racist since the 2nd amendment was "rooted in slave owners protecting their right to own slaves".

                  To be fair, I'm probably losing the debate. I need more ammo.

                    Yes. Not just facebook, everywhere.

                    You probably won't convert them, but why let them spout nonsense and possibly infect fence sitters who hear them or read what they write?

                    They need to be verbally slapped down whenever they utter anti constitution BS.

                      No. FB liberals are never going to get a clue. Keep it under your hat or only engage with 2A friendlies.

                        No because I don't care if they are unprepared when bad **** happens, maybe they will die off like rats and the world will be a happier place. sick of it. it's amazing that liberals want "open minds" but are the most close minded people out there if anyone sees things differently than them.

                          Anyone who wants to argue or debate won't have their mind changed. This is a universal fact about the human psyche. We do not change our minds easily and are more comfortable surrounding ourselves with like-minded people that confirm our world views.

                              ONLY if you know them to be a reasonable person, who is anti-gun because they are uneducated and misinformed. Otherwise, no.
                              There is no justification for the public servant police to be more heavily armed than the law-abiding public they serve...Unless...the government's intention is to be more powerful than the people.

                                Winning the argument/discussion is NOT the same thing as converting them. The best you can hope for is that some of the "ambi's" (a distinct difference from anti) listening to the discussion will make up there mind and fall our way.
