Aw Ono, I remember it well. I had access to to rainbow lake road at the end at sunny hills I think it was.

My house is on Rainbow Lake Rd., just below Sunny Hill (I know the place you're talking about). Yeah, there are lots of nice bucks around there (for blacktails, anyway). There are a few trophy bucks (possible record-book types) that frequent some of the local irrigated pastures.

Yep, that was to this day the coolest place I've ever been hunting, or just hanging out, to enjoy the quite your lucky to still have access to this gem

1st off it's not Iron mt, it's Iron mt, road. about 400 yards up the road from Keswick dam boat access. Directions are head towards whiskey town dam turn right on Iron Mt road, it's about 2 1/2 mile past Buenaventura bl. just follow it out, you'll pass Keswick Dam, keep going, after passing the boat launch turn, it comes up on LEFT,, right on the road multiple turnouts. YOUR HERE !

Sorry I was not clear, I've been to Iron Mtn Road BLM area (Democrat Mountain) dozens of times, it was the Gover Rd location that I needed cleared up.

I to, am a little perplexed on this. Was out to Coleman Hatchery yesterday, and saw Groves ranch, but didn't notice anything like that around there. I did find out to my surprise that The Coleman fore bay area rd access is now closed from Hatchery road, and been for 4 years now. This was new to me, They said dummy with truck doing doughnuts, made that happen...

Spring Branch is the name of the BLM shooting area.
It is south of Gover Ranch, across the bridge into Tehama County.
Road makes several turns. At a hard right turn there is a left turn option on a Dirt road with a BLM sign. Follow the dirt road to the concrete marker designating the shooting area on the right side of the road.
