If you did you would completely agree with me, though you are trying too argue a point that completely supports my point, its just that you do not know what you are talking about so you cant understand that what you are saying is exactly what I am describing. To clarify this,

I paid for a Polygonal Barrel, It came listed, sold as and in the profile of the Rainer Arm Polygonal Barrel.

EXCEPT the rifling is NOT polygonal.

Its simple, Systems has a huge ego and cannot admit he was wrong.

He had no idea there were many forms of rifling. He really does know... but again his ego will not allow him to admit he is wrong here. From what I can make out, he wanted and thought the caudle form of poly rifling was the only form. The size of the projectile, the length of the barrel, the type of projectile all play a part in what type of poly is best. If you don't believe me just google polygonal rifling and view the picture results of that search. If you tried to use a Glocks 9mm poly rifling in a .223 it would be a crappy barrel. Even a Glocks .45 rifling and their 9mm rifling are not the same.

His barrel is 100% poly, RA is a top end supplier with an outstanding CS policy. Their barrel manufacturers are top of the line. They say what they do and they do what they say. You are 100% safe to buy any product from them.

Its like when some young kid comes here and says, "watch out for LaRue Tactical they are a crappy AR15 builder and their mounts suck." Everyone here would know its a problem with the poster...not LaRue.

I have seen people come here and post that about BCM and one current member here even posted that he used M4A1s daily at work, and would never trust his life to a White Oak Barrel... He got a butt kicking and education. He posted he was wrong and thanked us for the lesson. Seems Systems doesn't have that level of respect.

Hell, I myself just posted about a company I knew nothing about...BUT I referenced all my statements with the fact I didnt know that area of manufacturers and when I got an education from those here who did, I again admitted I didnt know and thanked people for telling me.

Any of the Instructors and Educators here can be bull-headed, BUT when we are challenged, we produce, charts, graphs, independent research, actual photos and other expert opine on the subject to back us up. OR we accept the factwe are wrong when faced with the same level of evidence.

This in turn educates the hive. Sure some in the hive get butt-hurt because their heros are proven wrong, but you cannot force a horse to drink.

Another thing people here have not thought of.... There was (and is) another member on these boards who uses; Shill accounts, his own account and his customers to bash, trash and flame his competition as a business tactic.

That retailer constantly came here and posted complete lies and half truths about other retailers, got his customers to also lie on these forum boards about other companies... and then offered a solution... go buy from him. He would even offer a discount...he even gave more discounts if you would support him in the bashing threads about other companies. It took constant rebuttal and constant attention to his post by myself and others to fight against his BS. The Mods got sick and tired of the arguments, and the shill accounts calmed down...but they are NOT gone. I still spot them posting complete crap lies, but can't post myself. Thankfully there are others here who know just as much as I do (and more) who can fight them.

So with all this in mind...
We have a guy who can't or will not admit he is wrong. Who posts crap and can't back up anything he is saying.... against a top of the line Company who uses top of the line manufacturers and is known throughout the AR15 community as top notch... who are you going to believe?

            Classic,

Rainer Looks like it has good stuff. HAVE I SAID MANY TIMES, This looks like a great button pulled classic rifled barrel but it is not Polygonal, whats the big deal with that

No need to distort or lie about what I have been saying, you posting and twisting it, creating drama, YOUR turning this into a soap opera, forcing me to respond, man up and stop, PM'ing me and stop following my threads... they call it stalking...

            you are forum educated.

You see something or here about it, google it, read the forums and then repeat it what you read on the forums, even if its wrong or if you have no diea what you are talking about.

DieselPower you are the guy who sales the Chinese and Korean stuff at gun shows, that why you follow my threads, your still mad after all this time.

IS THIS WHY, You send me PM's, Folow my Threads and all this,
            why stalk me bro?

I am not a huge ar15 guy, There are allot of great and good companies,

I do not know why you are so obsessed with me,

Simple fact, I paid for a polyganol barrel and was given a barrel with classic rifling I do no know why you have to through your drama in it.

I did not read the whole post, but I WISH I owned some sort of company dealing in the ar parts sales ...

Agreed. System, are we to take your word that the barrel is not polygonal? At least back up your statement with some proof. Post some good pictures and end this. You can't just bash a vendor with out backing it up somehow. You aren't gaining any ground here, so either post some pics or chill already.

This "fanboy" is going to buy something from Rainier now.

Systems, let's say you are 100% correct (hypothetically, of course), have you returned the barrel back to Rainer as they offered??? If not, why???

This. While Systems complains about everyone ignoring what he's said, I have yet to see anything indicating he's responded to RA. Their post in this thread went unanswered by him unless he responded through a PM. I'm curious if he's shipped it back to them as well.

Post a picture. I do in fact own a RA Select Barrel and it most definitely is not as you describe. If yours is, post a picture and prove it. That will end any disagreement.

Any barrel with lands and grooves is not polygonal. There is no way a 5r barrel is polygonal because it has lands and grooves.

That being said, I'd like to see a picture of the OPs barrel as well.

plz click the link and go halfway down the article. http://www.realguns.com/archives/145.htm This is probably the type of rifling he is seeing and telling everyone the barrel has "lands". He doesnt realize there are several kinds of polygonal rifling, and depending on size of the bore the best ones will have raised areas.
