Just because you learn a few terms doesn't make you an expert on polygonal, OP.

      OP fail.

Rainier Arms is good to go. I had a chance to talk with them personally on my last visit to WA, their support for us in CA is outstanding.

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

SYSTEMS, a quick Wiki search would have yielded you some valuable info on polygonal rifling. Its obvious you have limited knowledge on the subject.

You just supported my point, that is what I am saying.

            WHY even argue it?

I am saying the barrel I got is CONVENTIONAL rifled not POLYGONAL rifled.

I do not understand what the issue with my thread is?

Some people are acting like fanboys missing the point and focusing on the company name.

I HAVE BEEN EMAILING THEM FOR A LONG TIME ABOUT THIS, NO RESPONSE.

You are simply ignoring what I am saying and focusing on the company.
Following the leader troll post and or being fanboys.

My theory is people are not reading the whole thing, reading the trollish responses, maybe googling ''POLYGON''

and some are googling polygonal but reading posts and threads published on forums by people who did the same thing and so on,

I call it the circle of misinformation.

I have to take picture and post, which I have tried to do but I need to get something that can zoom in on the angles without getting fuzzy.

Try using the Macro setting systems. I would like to see a pic. Either way, I'm sure Rainier will take care of you. Their post indicated they will be open for business tomorrow.

If it doesn't have rifling lands and grooves, it's polygonal. Either way, Rainier already posted in this thread and said they would do what it takes to make sure you are happy. They are a long term vendor and supporter of this site, and I'd be hard pressed to find an instance of an unhappy customer.

It has very nice clean rifling that is just about 90 degrees when eyeballed...

SEEMS LIKE A GREAT COMPANY, I bet this is a great button pulled barrel, but not a polygonal barrel.

Laterally I do not feel that 5r barrels are Polygonal either. YES the definitions of a complex POLYGON would maybe confuse this and people.

                        I do not get it,

people are responding to the trollish posted responses that are from people responding to something that was not the point and by people who are butt hurt over anything negative about rainer, its a good old fashion follow the leader...

BUT these are all ignoring the actual thread.

                            It is 100% not.

STRAIGHT WALL UP, 90 DEGREE RIGHT, 90 DEGREE DOWN; IS NOT POLYGONAL...

Not one of you 4 guys with the repeated hate posts has a clue, you have proved my point for me if anything.

BY THE WAY here is the simpleist way I can explain,

the one on the left is 100% NOT POLYGONAL.
the one on the right is 100% POLYGONAL.

Thank you for bumping my stats

BUT YOU ARE WRONG AS IN WRONG.

                            ENFILED IS NOT POLYGONAL BARREL

AND NO the Russians did not develop or improve on Polygonal Rifling. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. Some people believed the sales pitch and now you believe it and repeat it as a fact.

DieselPower and his one buddy hate on my threads because I called out his junk parts at gun show and online when we caught him buying and reselling China/Korean Express, with his boxes from Alliexpress selling air soft stuff.

This is what happens when a consumers believes a sales pitch and becomes a fan or a like a guy who sales ar15 uppers but has no clue

Yup... You've got some real issues with reading comprehension. Nobody is arguing that an Enfiled rifled barrel is polygonal.
The manufacturer of the Rainier barrels does make a polygonal described as:

We use 416R stainless steel and our rifling shape is a series of arcs instead of square corners, as in the traditional style of Enfield rifling. This arc shaped rifling has long been held in very high regard for its accuracy, increased velocity, reduced gas cutting and ease of cleaning. Here you can see the difference between classic Enfield rifling compared to the 5 land and 3 land polygonal rifling.

                              Product Development and testing
We use steel from one of the nations largest steel suppliers. We have an ongoing inspection process as a proactive quality control measure on our products. Our quest is to provide the best products we can and not miss an opportunity to learn along the way.

-We purchase certified material and keep certifications on file.
-We record material lot numbers and track each piece of steel through the entire manufacturing process.
-We mark each barrel near the extension with our name, the lot number and the inspectors stamp.
-We perform magnetic particle inspections and other non-destructive testing
-We randomly employ destructive testing methods
Looks like you're some self proclaimed HSLD expert that can't read and comprehend a simple wikipedia entry. I am also highly suspect that you don't even own a Rainier barrel because you acted so busted when they posted in this thread.

ITS NOT THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND.

Some people are arguing a point that I am NOT arguing...

WHY follow the leader, reading and repeating the misinformation...

A consumer is feed or reads a sales pitch, posts it online like its fact.
                                Another reads it, repeats it.

The circle of misinformation is born and births its child the FANBOY,

WHO will regardless of facts defend the misinformation with GREAT butthurtness ...

The Troll Fan Boy will post responses that create confusion, leading other readers to believe that Threads purpose is something it is not. . . .

One after another the tempers post and re post information that is counter to the OP BUT that has little to do with the OP.

                                TO MAKE IT EASY;

THE BARREL I HAVE AS MENTIONED, OVER AND OVER AGAIN IS NOT POLYGONAL... YOU JUST DO NOT GET WHAT I AM SAYING YOU ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING WHAT IT IS YOUR ARE TRYING TO ARGUE, I AM NOT ARGUING THAT. HOW CAN I MAKE IT SIMPLER

YOU ARE THE ONE ARGUING ME WHEN I AM SAYING WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY, BUT YOU ARE NOT READING WHAT I AM SAYING YOU ARE READING INTO THE TROLLISH RESPONSE, I HAVE A BARREL MARKETED AND SOLD A S POLYGONAL, IT IS NOT YOU JUST DONT GET IT WHY EVEN ARGUE IT?
