    Electronic hearing protection

What kind of electronic hearing protection do you guys use? Earplugs get kind of uncomfortable for me and I wanted to try out something else.

    Any recommendations?

Peltor. Nothing like being able to have a normal conversation with another person while shooting is going on all around you.

Peltor Tac6 + foam plugs. Turn the muffs all the way up and you get maximum protection from the gun noise while still being able to hear the conversations going on around you.

I bought Howard Leight Impact Sports after reading other positive threads about them on here. I got them for $45, so even if I upgrade I'll have a cheap set of ears for another shooter.

I still double up with earplugs though.

Pro Ears... and when shooting something really noisy (S&W .500 for example) will double up with plugs.

I probably should have mentioned that I double up as well with NRR 33 plugs.

Peltor can't hold a candle to MSA Sordins.

It can when you compare 1dB NRR / $...
