No Firearms Allowed in Safeway

I stopped shopping at Safeway as soon as I saw that sign. I emailed them and said I won't set myself up to be a victim at one of their stores,,,, I received no response.

I saw this awhile ago and was amazed. I used to have them deliver my groceries, but now I go out and shop elsewhere.

It's called Safeway for a reason? Just kidding but seriously, who cares? I avoid shopping at any Walmart, Safeway, Walgreens, Target, et cetera. Forget their policies on firearms they're detrimental to any local economy. Getting real sick of every Californian town becoming a carbon copy where family dining is Chipotle and more cheap Chinese product is pushed. The kind of business leadership we admire from Haley, LaRue, Noveske, et cetera will never be matched by disgusting and often political retail chains.

They are likely asked to leave. There is no law broken as it's just Safeway policy. Now if there is a restriction on the CCW and it's reported to the issuing agency, they have as the discretion to revoke the CCW for not abiding by the restriction.

Screw them... Guns Fishing and Other Stuff in vacaville has a similar sign, and they are a gun store... they can ef off... I carry in there everytime and those idiots are none the wiser.

This is how a free country should work.

A private business/property owner should have a right to decide whether or not to allow firearms on their premises.

An individual has the right to decide whether or not to patronize said business.

An individual is also free to communicate his dislike of the policy to the business and to other individuals.

Do you really think an employee is going to walk up to an armed person and ask them to leave or is he going to call the cops and let them figure it out?
