    No Firearms Allowed in Safeway

First of all, I know that there is already another thread about this topic here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=592497. But when I tried to reply to it, I got a message saying that the thread was over 130 days old and I wasn't allowed to reply to it anymore. So thus, I'm starting this thread.

Obviously, this whole topic isn't really news anymore. But it was news to me tonight when I stopped at my local Safeway on Hamilton Ave. near Meridian Ave. in San Jose about an hour ago. I'm not exactly sure how long it's been there, but like the other Safeways discussed in the other thread, my Safeway now has a No Firearms Allowed sticker on the front door:

Granted, I haven't been to Safeway since probably last Thanksgiving. But I don't remember that sticker in November. So I'm thinking it was just put up in the last couple of months.

When I saw it, I was like WTF! It's been said a million times already, but how does that sticker/rule make the store any safer for anyone???

Anyway, I was going to go on a bigger . But seeing that this was already covered so many months ago, I guess I'm just adding the Safeway on Hamilton & Meridian in San Jose to the list.

Hmm. I'm just a few blocks from that store and never noticed it. It must be a new sign. While I can't carry outside my front door, it still sucks.

Yeah, it really makes no sense, people really think the ones who want to cause harm will follow the rules.

On the other hand, if someone with a LTC exposes their firearm they will be asked to leave. I guess I can live with that.

Oh I forgot to mention that there's a new gun store opening just across the street from this Safeway - Mil-Spec Armory.

Is the drama in Los Gatos regarding Templar Sports coming to San Jose?

Those decisions are made by Safeways insurance company to protect Safeway from liability.

I think I would go with a Telecaster. The bolt on neck would be the strongest to deal with terrorist zombies. I know most folks will say Strat, but I think the trem system is unreliable.
I mean, who needs to dive bomb when SHTF? That only happens in movies.
