Scammers abound unfortunately I was scammed last month on a rifle that was advertised as unfired, I think he meant unfired since it returned from Bagdad, only face to face and look things over with a microscope.

Sorry to hear about that. Contact the site mods as well as the USPS and file a mail fraud suit, and you can always call the police if the N.J. district or city where the thief lives.
While I always prefer a FTF transaction, a lot of better deals are found on the web out of state.
I'm not in California, but I have bought and sold all over the USA. You can always ask the person for any type of online/web feedback, if zero feedback exists here. I am more than willing to share my feedback on other sites to accommodate and put the other parties concerns at ease. In the end I hope you get the items you traded for or your items back and the other party pays the consequences.

Never ship until payment received. You can file USPS mail fraud form - federal offense

F*** that guy put his picture up, just for fun and lets put together a trip to NJ and get that bolt back. contact every agaency who can legally go after this guy, and then we should still go there and straighten him out.

No kidding snowblind. I have made several transactions in good faith sending payment / items which worked out fine. It would be a terrible thing to see people lose trust in one another on Calguns and see it's reputation tarnished.

Check out another board maybe Ar15.com and post about it there see if you can outsource to someone local to NJ to pay a visit if LEO's are unable/unwilling.

That's why I would NEVER EVER send an item unless it's completely paid for. Or in this case, I would NEVER do a straight trade over the internez. Trading has to be FTF..

AFT, local NJ cops, Postal Service, and a dozen other agencies can help you and with the current freak show over guns and this guy sounding like one of our new Russian citizens who might be defrauding people all over the country for the Russian mobs back east probably you could have some fun. This could light up a firestorm if you wanted to get creative and get far more entertainment value out of this. Just don't open your doors to any delivery guys with russian accents (LOL). seriously thank you for the heads up and good luck. a note to Governor Christie with a copy (CC at the bottom of his letter) to a local NJ newspaper might stir something up.

Sorry it didn't work out! Trades always FTF, Never ship anything without being paid first. Ebay has taught me a lot. One thing scandalous people on Fleabay do is pay on paypal, get your Item & File a "chargeback" You lose your Item & they get it free! ALWAYS use delivery conformation, I do.

what if you are a buyer and the seller "claims" to not have received your payment?

You file a lost/stolen report with the Post Office for the money order. If he cashed it, you'll know. If not, you get your money back.

Always pay with a POSTAL money order and mail via USPS.

The Post Office will absolutely follow up and investigate.

                            Walmart money orders...not so much.

Guy with 16 posts rips off guy with 22 posts - who really carries the blame? Con artist who said he'd send iPhone 5 for something, or naive guy who obviously isn't wise to the world.

Also, did you do a search on the username? MIKHAIL comes back with 3 users all with that in their name, all with very low post counts - some just garbage posts to establish post count higher than 0.
