Man that sucks, Ive been screwed here a couple times, Not that i didn't get what i bought, but the condition of the firearms were far from described.
Go to the US postal service website and file a mail fraud complaint. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Patterson NJ is as ghetto as oakland.

Chalk this one up as a lesson learned. Weve all been there.

This probably isn't the right forum for this, but given they circumstances, I think it's appropriate. Dealing outside of state without means for recourse (ie paypal) is always risky. Sorry man

Calgunner from New Jersey. Ironic. That's why you meet in public forums to do business.

Wire fraud? Call the local PD and have them pay him a visit for you.

Agreed. I suppose you should kinda expect the worse if you are not doing the trade in person.

I don't know. He has several posts. Has been on the forum today.

But I will agree, I would be a bit aggravated too.

Mail fraud is a federal offense. How about getting a lawyer to whip up a quick letter to inform him of the crime he's committed and send it registered mail to the same address you send the BCG? I don't know what the likelihood of prosecuting him but maybe you can scare him into holding up his end the deal.

He could have used a fake name, address to pick item up, and a fake email. Chances are he did so it's probably a lost case.
