I take it you guys are the ones labeled "enemy tank convoy."

So, who was the anti-armor unit?

      To Everyone:
Im hoping that someone came forward with an apology. An issue such as this is very serious, and being as how they are members here, they should be even more aware of the basic guidelines to firearms safety.

      To Oaklander:
Im glad that you made it thru the day safely. It is no fun being on a two way range, especially if you cant return fire. Kudos to you for maintaining your cool, presence of mind, and situational awareness. If this is a member here and you know who it is, I hope they do apologize.

      To The Offenders;
Being as how you have been "outted", good form dictates that you at least apologize to Oaklander and whoever was with him. If you feel it is too embaressing to do it in public, then at least man up and send him a pm with your apologies. Next, you should take a good look at what you did and what the consequences could have been if someone got hurt. Not only would you have found out that it was someone you associate with on this forum that you hurt, but also you have to deal with the legal ramifications of your actions. If you dont apologize, I would honestly say, I hope the moderators here ban your account. If you cant take firearms safety seriously, then I sure wouldnt want to be associated with you or the type of people you hang out with.

yeah right - if it's such a good source then out them here and call them out in the open. being such a good source, shouldn't have any problem right?

Perhaps you should talk less and listen more.

Maybe the OP want's the offender to apologize, admit his mistake and promise not to do it again. This isn't politics. A public mea culpa isn't necessary. Neither is an "outing".

The offender already did something stupid and something potentially criminal. Admitting to it on a public forum MIGHT not be the best idea.

And next time, you cast aspersions, take a look at who you're talking to. Show a little respect.

I have to say, my sarcastic post up there was meant jokingly, but I can honestly see it reflecting the attitude of some.

It's extremely important never to fire in a direction where you don't know what you're shooting at. In the area you can't see it's entirely possible there's a house, a road, a group of women sunbathing nude.... you just never know.

                    Gentlemen,
This is a serious issue. We all share that little sliver of BLM land. It is getting slimmer each day. It is VITALLY important, not only for our safety and that of others, but for our ability to continue to use this open land for shooting, that we represent ourselves responsibly. One stupid act like that could result in somebody dying, plain and simple. Were that to happen, the BLM would yank our priveledges in one half of one heartbeat.

To those that did it. Shame on you! You know better.

To those that see (or saw) this kind of reckless behavior. Next time call in the law. Let them come in and be the heavy hand. That is what they are here for. We must hold ourselves to a higher standard than any others. That is the only way that we will win any measure of public support. By disregarding the need for public support, we will surely lose.

We have been given the tremendous opportunity to learn a valuable lesson here without paying the tremendous cost usually associated with such a lesson. To ignore this is to do so at our peril.
                    Thank you,

Well if the culprit was Stator I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an apology.

So when is the public flogging?

I think he's back to his Sacto job - BNE, Div LE?, not sure. That's how he was being a 'useful idiot' passing FUD scuttlebutt from BoF about Ben Cannon.

The guilty parties NEED to apologize to Oaklander either in person or through PMs. There's no reason to admit to a possible criminal act on a public forum.

Agreed - a PM would be fine, and I would accept the apology.
