I took my first Hunter's Safety Course at 12 (legal age at the time in PA to hunt, no clue what it's like today) and that's one of the questions they ask - and of course I still remember it to this day. Hard to believe grown adults can't even figure that out on their own, the sheer stupidity of what they were doing...Comment

I hope you followed the road up to the guys shooting at you and bitched them out for being totaly dumb, no not dumb, because not even a dumb person would think that was ok, just plain arrogant, im sure they saw you coming and thought lets make them dance, probably had a good chuckle about it to. If I had been there I wouldve gone up and politely informed them that they are in fact doing something very illegal and very dangerous. If they seem like they didn't get it, and quickly change their ways, fine. Might even shoot with them.

What's the big deal? They let your car go by and they weren't shooting at you? It's just bullets. Not like anyone gets hurt from them, sheesh.
How much space do you need? 100 feet?
I would've just kept shooting but over you. They marked their shooting area with dust. You should wait or find another way.
OK, now that I'm done playing dumb - I REALLY can not believe someone would knowingly fire near a road without a.) being young, b.) being drunk, c.) being the type who doesn't give a crap. All of those merit a "call the rangers."

What would be nice at this point would be a simple apology.
