I bought a Bagmaster, it really helps. Bagmaster makes very nice range bags. Mine has side pouches that you can slide in 2 padded handgun pouches. So I can carry 4 handguns if I want. The padded pouches were nice enough I bought extra so all my handguns are stored in their own pouch. I just grab the individual pouches I want out of the safe and slide them in the range bag.

Do I need a range bag

Use a brown paper bag. Hold ammo in pockets on your person as well as loaded magazines. It's a natural thing in places like Oakland or Richmond and also in the L.A. SoCal area. Best of all you can keep a bag for free when you are done with the Colt 45.Comment

I use to use random bags, Finally picked up an Uncle Mike's.
Padded storage, removable compartment for use as gun rug, lockable side compartment...
I keep everything I need to do a little shooting stored in it all the time, minus the gun and ammo.

Before I bought a Midway USA range bag, I used either a 50 cal ammo can or a Craftsman tool bag that I paid $25 for from Sears a few years back. If I had never purchased a MidwayUSA bag, I'd still be using the Craftsman bag. It was built pretty sturdy and felt better than the Midway bag, but the Midway bag with multiple comparments did help with keeping everything organized.Comment

I use a Tank Mechanics tool bag that I got from my local Army-Navy store.
It has plenty of pockets for small stuff. This is fine for me as I keep all my guns
in a case and ammo in ammo boxes.
I hear good things about the Midway U.S.A range bag though...sigpic

I use a back pack with 3 + compartments. Goes on the back, leaves the hands free to carry other things.
Got everything in it I need. Targets, pasters, markers, stapler, dope book, Leatherman, sunblock, chapstick, first aid kit, Motrin, Tylenol, water, sand socks, Kestrel/wind-temp gauge, ears, eyes, etc.,etc.,etc.Comment

I already had a large messenger bag that I wasn't using for anything else. Holds everything I bring to the range except the actual guns. My hard plastic case holds 1 AR, 1 upper and 2 pistols. My soft case holds my other rifle."The only right more important than gun rights to cgn members is the right to be a drama queen..." jimxComment

Thats what i use, i keep all my cleaning supplies in it and some tools.Don't laugh, I went down to The Home Depot and picked up an 18" tool bag for less than $20 bucks and it works pretty good. Has a heavy duty zipper that I can lock and plenty of outside pockets for mags, lube, etc.
It also came with a second smaller bag that my wife uses for her gun and supplies.

I use my backpack. I put my G19 in the box it came with along with the 4 mags I have, lock up the box using the gunlock and put it in my backpack. Then I'll put the ammo, ear muffs and goggles in a seperate compartment. Doesnt really weigh much and no one knows what I have inside.Comment
