This thread is in General Discussion because we are talking about a key to a trigger lock on a S&W Revolver.

    It is 100% Gun related.

Please feel free to quote me where I have ever said cops can do no wrong.

However, you will find numerous posts where I have said LE should be held accountable.

I do ask that LE be given a fair shake based on facts rather than the Torch and Pitchforks mentality that seems to prevail in many threads based on half-truths and innuendo.

As for you Ron, I treat every single post of yours as comedic relief. I may be wrong but you are just a bag of lolz. I am serious when I say if I want to read something to cheer me up, I grab a scotch and just go through your posts. Does it every time. It's actually the only reason why you're not ignored on my side. Lets look at this thread and your posts. We were having a discussion about why a key for a type of gun was being scrutinized. You came with a rebuttal the size of a whale basically showing us your work history. Now while some of it may have been relevant, most of it wasn't. I truly and wholeheartedly believe you just like to brag about yourself. I can quote one time where you were bragging about almost shooting a person over a 45 dollar ticket! It was a good laugh. Thank you.

You mention the post regarding the parking ticket. The discussion was about how quickly things can go south over something as simple as a parking ticket. In that case, the suspect went ballistic and physically attacked me because I wrote him a parking ticket. He didn't get shot because of a $45 parking ticket. He almost got shot because he attacked a deputy sheriff in the performance of his duties, took that deputy's baton during the struggle, and was preparing to continue his attack using that baton. That is why he almost got shot, not because I wanted to give him a parking ticket. He went to prison for his actions.

You have totally missed the point, just like the key issue at the courthouse.

Good Lord! What's wrong with making sure you don't have anything on you that might be an issue so you can walk through the metal detector without incident?

They found it necessary to keep my keys because I have a S&W trigger lock key on it. They first stated, " it is a handcuff key" I explain NO it is a key to a trigger lock, which recieved the response of, "Oh well you can dis-assemble a gun with that.

we wont touch on the fact that you couldnt even keep a valid insurance card in your vehicle...how smart is that?

"Ohhh, the logic is strong with this one..."
                        Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."

Why would anyone in a million years think that a safety lock key for a firearm would ever be an issue?

A handcuff key I could see (and disagree with), but a key for a firearm safety lock? That's just ludicrous.

Simple, because both could be used to unlock handcuffs being used to secure an inmate. Whether passed to the inmate intentionally, or by accident, it is still a security risk. I can use the key to my Ruger MKIII to open handcuffs.
