I was born right before the assualt weapons ban became law and grew up shooting a mini 14. I always thought that a bullet button was the worst thing ever. Now I see that without it we would still be in the dark ages instead of being 1,00000000 football fields behind everyone else.

Yeah, I'd still have a RAW, and keep anything I don't want the DOJ to see elsewhere. They can search my house anytime, I have nothing to hide.

So you are giving up your freedom in return for a perceived promise of safety. The problem with this kind of statement is that there are way too many people that will be glad to take our freedoms away. We all must stand together, if we wish to be free. So tolerate the demonstrators and be a champion for anti search and seizure laws and the rest of our civil liberties. This is the only way that we will be able to be free here in this country. Once we knowingly give up any rights, we are opening the floodgates to serfdom.

Before 2000 I bought a few Ar's an FAL and a Bushmaster Bullpup. A ton of 20 and 30 round mags for them along with high cap mag for the handguns. Oh yea we bought SKS's for $89.
Then I didn't buy anything for 10 years until PTR stated making those killer HK91 clones with the BB's.

If You think DOJ has less info on you with a BB than a RAW I think you are fooling yourself. They have all they need to F with you with DROS ???

My friend has a RAW, I don't. The DOJ can come into his house at will. They can't come into mine. Care to think about that?

I know the AW permit is different than the RAW and then I see TenPercentFirearms rightfully question this.

I only wish I had more lowers to register back then, not because I want firearms registered but because at least they would legally be in my possession. The same logic applies to at least getting some OLL's now.

I had a Mini-14! Then I got a toploading Vulcan/DPMS AR from RCGE with a 10 round mag blind pinned and epoxied as well as the mag release back in like 07 or 08 I can't remember. I grew a pair and cleaned out the mag and the mess replaced the mag release parts with new ones and a Prince-50. I later replaced it with the newer BB and then a Raddlock. I still have the Vulcan and it runs fine. I also have a Fab-10 (maybe I'll use it to build a 510 DTC or something later),and pretty much all the Bullet-Button variants! Maybe one day we can all get our Ca-legal crap parts together and put them in a museum...

Had an 80% lower that I finished and put a nut on the mag release so it couldnt release the mag. Then I loaded gun from top.

The Keltec SU16 was for me the greatest rifle for us here in CA pre featureless OLLs, because they figured out an AK action with AR style bolt using AR magazines all for a little $.

I forgot I had a Kel-Tec SU16A for a while. As soon as I bought my own OLLs, I sold that sucker. It didn't shoot my reloads, the same reloads all of my AR15s handle with no problem.

I have read that only somwhere around or under 10% of 'AWs' were actually registered.

I am sure they are all in Arizona....
