    NRA life membership: $500

What's the deal on life memberships now days.... It's like a used car or something. Sign up in one place for $1000, another for $750, another says $500... what gives?

**sign up 1 year at a time, then they will send you the $500 life thing in the mail.

It does fluctuate quite a bit. I can only speculate as to why, but I will state the obvious and say that the lower prices attract more members

Do they still do the "easy pay" system or whatever it is on the $500 life memberships? I've still got 4 years left on my 5 year renewall
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

depending on where and when you sign up (How much you pay) you get a lot or no free gifts. The more you pay the better the "free" gifts are.

I don't know for sure about Life Memberships, but recruiters can get some of the $ for regular annual memberships. Some don't their cut or only part of it, so your fee can be less.
May be the same with life as well; besides NRA's various pricing strategies.

I can't find anything on the web except the NRA website that prices life at $1000. If somebody has a link to a 500 dollar life membership it would be nice to post it. I can always wait until I'm 65 then it's only 375..

Or maybe just call 1-(877) NRA-2008 and tell them you want the $500 deal...

Better to give $500 to the NRA-ILA...
I do not provide legal services or practice law (yet).

The easy pay isn't a bad way to go. I got tired of multiple letters for membership renewals so went life a few years ago. (Found out at the time I had 2 memberships going at the same time!) Understand, your membership dues don't pay for much more than the yearly magazine and a few other benefits.

Money for the Boy Scouts, hunter safety, 4H, woman's programs, range development, among other things are raised IN state by the Friends of the NRA. If you want to see local improvement, I know for a fact that your local FNRA group would love the help. 100% driven by volunteers and only 65% of the grants written last year got funding.

Blackwater OPS is correct in that if movment on the legal front is your desire, cut the ILA a check when you can. It all helps and you might get a knife, a first aid kit, a hat, or something else for stepping up.

Don't forget the NRA only employees around 8-900 people nationwide. Not bad for an organization that has as much influence nationally.
