As a daily motorcycle rider, I have now decided I need a dedicated motorcycle strictly for gun transportation
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

I like takedown rifles like my Rossi .22lr pump or my Marlin Papoose for motorcycle range trips.

I ride a bicycle and I just keep the guns that are not on my ccw permit in their locked case. I have never transported a long gun on my bicycle but I think it would be funny to do.

Grab yourself a Coretech tailbag, either the duffel or the sport model depending on your size needs and so forth (I own both for maximum flexibility). The larger duffel fits nicely on my FZ6 and has enough room for 1-2 handguns (with cases), a couple hundred rounds, hoodie and other shoes, all the shooting gear (eys&ears, binoculars, etc.) and lunch. It straps on with bungies and easily carries as a range bag. I use the smaller sport bag for smaller trips to the inside range when I only need the handgun/ammo/eyes&ears for an hour or two.

Here's how wide the duffel looks on my bike (empty in this shot, but it's pretty much the same when full):

There's a rubbery/foamy nonslip mat on the bottom (removable if desired) that makes it stick to the seat really well, and you can sort of see the front bungies snaking down to my passenger footpegs. The sport model is smaller in width so it fits right on the bike perfectly and looks nice.

I saw someone out-running CHP in Oakland that way one time. Traffic was packed, the cop who was after him could barely move.

Well... he thought he was getting away, anyway. Lane-splitting doesn't help much against a helicopter.

The trick is to immediately get off the freeway without your license plate being seen and before they can call the birds.

If I were ever going to run, that's what I would do if I had no license plate.
Unfortunately, my motorcycle has a license plate so I would probably just pull over.
