I think the point trying to be made Chim Chim, is that the way you claim to interpret the law, it actually is illegal. If its a honest mistake, Its not a big deal, but please dont give out advice if you arent going to list the full reasoning and PC's for it.
Many folks here, and I do many, and many of those guys have law degrees, have poured over this crap time and time again to get it where citizens in PRK can do things legally and stay within the confines of the law. But offering advice that is actually wrong, you risk one of our membership here taking that advice and running afoul of the law with it.
What you do, with your magazines, is your business, nobody is denying that, but saying that CGN says its ok, makes it everyone heres business. If you want to roll that way with your mags, and you run afoul of the law, that once again is your business. just dont drag down others with you. Not picking a fight here, I no longer have a dog in this fight, Im just trying to say what I think the others here are trying to get across to you.Originally posted by Soldier415I am naked except for seatless white chaps, a boonie hat and a tactical vest playing HALO.Originally posted by oaklanderI don't like getting my butt kicked, but I would like to have it spanked by some big hairy guys!Originally posted by ohsmilyI wouldn't put "mounting a weasel" past too many people on this forum.Originally posted by hoffmangGoing after the NFA soon is like asking the girl you just met in the bar if she's into anal sex...

Im talking about a gun that was designed after the ban, one such firearm, where there is no way a person could have owned hi-cap mags for it perviously since the gun itself wasnt developed til afterwards. One that would have always been sold in Cali with 10 rd'ers due to the fact its a newly developed firearm. does that make sense? So the only way a person could have a magazine from this particular series of handgun, would be if they bought a magazine out of state, or bought the parts and assembled it. Since the firearm design is new, then wouldnt that person have committed a crime? If one can use new mag bodies that work in a new gun AND the gun that the old magazine was originally designed for, it would arguable be legit. That said, Possession or legal use of any magazine is not restricted (other than violating AW laws with fixed mag builds). The only thing that is is the importation, manufacturing, offering for sale, etc. While I prefer to stay clear of the whole staute of limitations thing, it could easily come into play with a XD mag.

I was told you can't be persecuted for it.Comment

Where is the footnote referenced by the asterisk after "any gun" in this citation?...
It is perfectly legal - no restrictions at all in the Penal Code - to own and possess and use those "large-capacity magazines" in any gun*, at any time, under any circumstances where it is legal to use a gun. Ownership, possession and use of "large-capacity magazines" are not crimes in PC; there is no section under which you could be charged.

Astrick means any centerfire rifle with a fixed magazine such as a bullet button. 10 rounds only, reguardless of legal possession of standard capacity mag.Comment

And this was such a simple thread when first I posted in it.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment
