    Definitely look CNC'd.

I could see them being used in various Military/SF arenas
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

I don't see any reason they would be illegal. I also don't buy into the hype at all, this seems like one of the silliest products I've seen in a long time.

No comment on the Comp Bullet (which look ridiculously expensive and not worth the price) but the writer of that Slashgear article sounds like an idiot.

Why would they put vent holes IN FRONT of the driving bands?

Not sure why you would think anything makes these illegal in CA.

They are however, probably silly in CA(and everywhere else).

The "copper alloy" mentioned as the substance they are made of looks suspiciously like brass, and I believe that's considered armor piercing ammo and a big ATF or CA BoF no-no in handgun cal.

Bullets with SPEED HOLES in them.

                            'nuff said.

Sounds like a crock to me, and the reviewer on the site can't resist giving his opinion wherever he can squeeze it in. "Journalism" FAIL.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy into the hype. The rifle bullets, at least, shouldn't be illegal in California, but I also don't think they're worth the price of admission. A solid back spitzer point boat-tail is still probably a better choice.

I'm thinking this thread should probably be moved to OT ...

I think the Slashgear poster was even more of an Idiot than I first thought.

These Comp Bullets ARE NOT meant for Shooting. They are meant to be used AS JEWELERY!!

Those holes are meant to hold precious stones (diamonds, rubies, etc).
