Winchester 190 .22 on my 8th birthday--still have it. First rifle purchase was a 181 series mini-14 and first pistol purchased was a SW 686+ 6"

Glock 22 purchased in 1993 for my 21st. Came with the legal high cap magazines. After the high cap ban, I sold it for damn near what I paid for it new to purchase a Sig Sauer P229.

          For Coyotebait

The pic is not so great, but I hope you can see the correct sling. I also have the correct bayonet with the sight on it and the sharp edge up. Odd duck, that.

I have two boxes of ancient ammo for it, but I had a guy make me 40 pieces of brass, so now all's I have to do is to order the dies from RCBS. I've not shot this guy for about 45 years due to ammo. But now I know about reloading.

The numbers all match, including the stock. Rather than the normal "Wn" in the date, this one apparently says, "Wt" which I've not been able to figure out about.

Very cool. It should be a good feeling to shoot a rifle that you haven't shot in so long. Probably like seeing an old friend.

I am hoping to pick up the dies this spring. I seem to remember that this old guy was quite the thumper. But I was smaller and lighter back then.

Buying my first gun at 47, I was a late bloomer. My first firearm was a Ruger 10/22 Stainless composite rifle. I have had it for about a year but plan on keeping it for a while. I did however go bird hunting with my next door neighbor when I was about 10 years old and was shooting a 12 gauge.
