after attending FS, I bet most of you who've read this post in the handgun section got the same reaction as I did

I can hear my instructor shouting over my ear now: "MOVE!" and the clearance drill.

Nicely said , Some one that has not went that knows when not to talk out the side of his face like many others do. Just because their are a lot of shooters on the line don't mean you don't get the attention you need . You even have a chance to show up prior to class to practice with the instructors. Like any thing in life its what you put in to it.

          Well,
I just got home from another great weekend at FS. This time I took my daughter and she loved it as well. She wants to go back soon and do the "Rope and Repel" class.

Going to take my son in March, and it looks like the daughter will be going too.

          Good family fun.

I really hope Front Sight is around a long time. I have 2 toddlers and I really look forward to the day I can take classes out there with them.

I hope they are around as well. I have lifetime memberships purchased for my 1 and 3 year old sons already. They gotta be around for at least 12-15 years for me to get my money back. Although I can probably manage to sneak in enough classes to cover what I paid. I missed the $125 deal, hoping it comes back at Christmas and I might get memberships for a couple people as a present.

It is spendy to take the class though with hotel/flight/rental car/etc. I stayed in Vegas because Pahrump sounded too boring for married types who aren't rolling in cash.

Not that it means anything, but they are hiring more instructors. My class had 2 that had just finished the Instructor Developement course and were taking one last class as students.

                  I am hopefull but concerned

I won't be doing any more cold weather classes. Call me a wimp if you want, but I would rather be sweating than shivering. Last week was brutal. Wind chill is a b---ch.

The wind at FS can be brutal. When I was doing the instructor development there my hands were so cold I could hardly manipulate my gun. I also thought my lips were going to fall off from being so chapped.

It is, but it's good practice for fine motor skill loss as you would experience under a high stress situation. Even small tasks become hard, and you'll likely see several people on the line with at least one cut on their hands.
