Your Thoughts On Front Sight Diamond Membership

Been there like the range. But the workers are a tad cocky (as for most shops/ranges) but are on your a** about everything. Gave me so much crap about my 22 AR. Had at least 1 RSO come by every 10 min and ask if that was a 5.56 or not and have me explain.

Also any place with different levels of membership are not what I'd like to support. A membership should be a membership and allowed all privates as a member.. All that you pay more than this guy and you get better treatment is bs. Your still paying good money why should you not have the place at your disposal. Greed at its most.

I went to a 4 day handgun class in May and had a great time. Since then I upgraded to Diamond and then Ambassador. I would be happy to answer any questions I can.

I really enjoyed the training and felt it was very good and well organized. Due to their email marketing, I was apprehensive that we would be subjected to hard-sell sales tactics while on-sight. But, that was NOT the case. I felt the whole experiece was very professional and efficient. There were 2 optional, lunch time, softsell sales presentations for hearing protection and gun safes. And during one lunch session they talked a little (maybe 15 minutes) about the advantage of having memberships.

Previously I had taken a local 2 day class from another outfit which I liked as well. They are currently charging about $300 for their 2 day class.....

Yes it reads: "Attend exclusive courses, customized for you as an Ambassador Member." Plus all the extra and old memberships and certificates you are given to sell/trade.

Diamond memberships are a good thing if you had them.. and I have 4 of them...haha...

been to the 4 day defensive course and it was a superb course..would like to go back but the trek from the east coast is a all day affair.. might even have to give up my memberships if they don't put in a facility closer to me.. love to talk about this to anyone who has a desire to go..

If you are hesitating about joining Front Sight then cure the hesitation by purchasing a certificate for the 4day Handgun course.

No. Front Sight is a huge mission-based organization supported by members who deliver excellence because they support the mission.

And the training is more than ok, it's excellent.

The training is great. Been there four times and looking at combat master class in Nov.
The marketing is whack, crazy, bizzare, but seems to be working for them.

Diamond membership a great buy

Marketing plan has to be one of the great Ponzi Schemes of all time (sort of in reverse, soak the original members, sell "return in abundance' TBD memberships to these members and then make them almost worthless by then almost giving new memberships away). I've been a member since 2005. Obviously paid way too much for my membership but at current prices for lifetime membership (less than the cost of just one course at a competetive school) you can't go wrong. School has been rumored to be going under for many years but keeps attracting more and more students. You can join and be attending a class within about 3 weeks if you are worried.

My best guess is that this marketing strategy is designed to show large membership growth in order to attract financing for further expansion.

The instruction is excellent due to a well controlled curriculum (credit management) and even more to the fabulous group of dedicated range managers and instructors. Facility is more than adequate but still somewhat of a disappointment compared to earlier promises of what it could be.

One note, the schedule of instruction seems more and more to be slanted to new 2 & 4 day entrance classes with the advanced classes being scheduled less frequently and on fewer weekends for those who work. Front Sight has also raised prereq requirements on advanced classes, making it harder to qualify than it was in the past. However, many students retake the 4 day entrance classes multiple times and still learn every time

Other than buying a Diamond membership for around $300 so you can go to any of the classes....

The only problem with that communicator membership is, once you go you will want to upgrade to include more class options.
