I bought 3 one for me and one for my 2 year old and my 4 year old. Couple years and they can start taking advantage of the kid courses they have for self defense and what not while daddy shoots.
I took a 2 day course and it was great. As long as I take at least one more I will feel like I got my moneys worth.

I'm in the same boat. Cept I bought mine for $600. It's eaiser to take training close to home, then to load up and drag my *** to Vegas.Former political prisoner who escaped on 9-24-23.Comment

Did I do/write something wrong?
What kind of trap? I just found Front Line and the reviews overall seem to be good.
In connection with getting back into shooting, have been out of it for a while a friend got me back into it, I just want to get better and in doing some surfing, o.k. a lot of surfing, I found Calguns.net. I like the information on the site found a dealer that seems to be a great source for me, EBR Works, and thought I really liked the informaiton provided.
So I took it the next step further when I found a thread on training memberships for Front Sight. Is there something possibly wrong with my decision on Front Sight? Other than it is a drive, I have to pay for ammo anyway no matter where I pratice, getting away from the daily grind and focusing on getting better is really all I want right now. Sometimes just going off to practice after work is relaxing but other times I like to get away from home, not have to go to work the next day and focus on bettering my skills.
Please provide me some direction if I am wrong or my logic in deciding on Front Sight is flawed. Something I should know about?
Thanks for the help and input!Comment

I have a Diamond Alaska membership, but my wife only has a Liberty Tree membership (4d Handgun, 2d Rifle, 2d Shotgun only,) so it really restricts which classes we can go together.
Front Sight sent her an e-mail to upgrade her to Diamond level for $500. I'd love to have her upgrade, but she thinks it's nuts to pay that kind of money.sigpic

I think the trap joke was that no one is allowed to advertise these memberships online. Even to ask if anyone has them for sale. I'm glad I've got my Diamond Membership. What kind of trap? I just found Front Line and the reviews overall seem to be good.

I like going to FS. I know there are many alternatives for training but I enjoy the trip out there as well as the time spent with my friends.
hey beanz2- I think you can get a diamond and then assign your wifes liberty tree to a friend?Comment

Thank you for clearing that up and opps! Sorry did not mean to cause anyone any trouble. I had just seen some offers in some threads so I thought I would ask, I am just way to amped about getting some good training!
And thank you for mentioning that you are happy with your membership, it makes me feel like I want the membership more after all the research, reading through all the threads.

I had no idea we can re-assign or re-sell a membership. That would be really great. My brother would probably jump at it after he and I take the 4 day rifle class in September. I gave him the 4 day certificate but he is not a member, yet.
Yep, if I can find someone selling a Diamond membership at less than what FS is offering her, I'll entertain the thought

I know a guy who sells diamond Memberships for $250. Send me a PM if you need his info.
I bought one from him awhile ago.Comment

No can do, night riders. The current promotional offer is for an UPGRADE from your current membership to the diamond membership. You are paying to CHANGE your existing membership to a new, higher value one.
Therefore you lose the original membership.
My buddy called them about this, and that's what they said.
$500 payment gets you 2 diamonds, so that not bad, $250 each. But who's to say he won't come out in 6 months with ANOTHER chance-of-a-lifetime, 1-time-only offer for diamonds at $100 a pop?
It's not like he hasn't done it before -- several times in fact.Comment
