    Optics Planet BS

so i ordered a scope from these crooks, opened it realized it wouldnt mount to my rifle boxed it up and got the rma same day. just got an email from them saying the scope looked used and cannot process my refund. They want me to pay to have it shipped back to me or there just going to toss it. has anybody else dealt with these guys?? since sending the scope back i have returned from the states from pre-deployment leave and theres no way i can get this thing back.

If you mounted them in rings, it would be considered used. Most stores have a policy like that. I know LaRue does. I am happy with my Leupold scope however.

If you used a credit card, dispute the charge.

Id find out what their policy truly is on USED items. If its an eyeball of an employee then maybe you can dispute it with your CC company. If they have it in writing that once you mount it in scope rings then its considered used. Then your SOL.

Unfortunately, OpticsPlanet is unable to accept returns or exchanges for the following:

Installed goods, e.g., a riflescope mounted and/or assembled onto a weapon
            Human Touch massage chairs
Customized or personalized products including, but not limited to, prescription eyewear (please see our RX Prescription Policy for more details) and customized riflescopes
            Gift certificates
Special order items including promotional and corporate merchandise
Hazardous items (as marked on our website)
Looks like you might be out of luck on this one, depending on if you actually mounted the scope or not.

I've never had a problem with optics planet, but I've always ordered optics from them that were correct for my rifles. You probably should have investigated their return policy before shipping the scope to them. Sorry dude

its a tactical scope theres no rings to mount.

Just sell it here or dispute it with your CC company. Good luck!

I quit doing business with them a few years ago.

If you have a Human Touch massage chair, that can't be returned either, mount the scope on it.

                            Seriously, dispute the CC charge.

ok so i emailed them back saying that if they wanted to charge me a restock fee of some kind thats fine (at this point they have me bent over anyways) and they said its been sent to the returns department for review.
