Semper Fi!
On a serious note, ive worked with AF PJ's, Navy Seals, Army Rangers and Delta, and found one thing to be common amongst them all. They signed their name on the dotted line just like I did. And for that, they always get my respect.Originally posted by Soldier415I am naked except for seatless white chaps, a boonie hat and a tactical vest playing HALO.Originally posted by oaklanderI don't like getting my butt kicked, but I would like to have it spanked by some big hairy guys!Originally posted by ohsmilyI wouldn't put "mounting a weasel" past too many people on this forum.Originally posted by hoffmangGoing after the NFA soon is like asking the girl you just met in the bar if she's into anal sex...

Meh, I was partly trying to stir up sh** by overreacting. I did & do believe in a "mutual respect" between branches though, if that's naive fine. I did plenty of sh** talking, and still do with a lot of the mil guys that come by my work. But in my case at least it was always just that, talk, I've always maintained a fairly steady respect for anyone in uniform. But then, I don't need to clarify myself to a jarhead and a bunch of squids.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA Nicely put!

Idiots are what ruin ranges. There are people that don't know any better, and then there are people who do know better but choose not to act in that manner.i've been there and watched these guys shoot. alot of them are responsible gun owners and shooters. i will agree with you there however the range in question does not have a safty instructor and anybody that pays the cash is a member. so there lays the problem there a few hot shots that screw everything up for every one else. there are a few guys that thought it was a good idea to shoot steel targets with jacketed ammo from 5-10 yards away and guess what wam they got hit by riochets and no more steel targets for anyone.
I really miss the Forest Hill gun range. It was killed partly by idiots who didn't obey the rules or respect the range.Comment

Once. Only once, though. And at least I didn't put anybody in danger.gentlemen, I believe we have all been yelled at by the RO more than once in our lives.
most of the time people are careless because they have not been properly taught. if we want our way of life to continue, we as shooters must make the effort to educate those who are less well informed. Yell, scream, go livid with fury if you like, but tell them what they are doing wrong. Otherwise, we are merely preaching to the choir.
The bad thing is that a lot of the people that need the explanation won't listen when you give it to them. Ego gets in the way.sigpicNRA MemberOriginally posted by Deadbolt"We're here to take your land for your safety"

I was at the azusa gun range this past sunday, i was just wondering why must people how work at gun ranges be so rude.is there job so hard that they must talk to people like there kid's. i know some people that go to gun ranges are not trained to even drive correctly but not all of us. some of us are very respectful of others. it's all about customer service don't you think.

I was in the Navy and giving instruction on the M16 to "qualify" the deck watch once at sea. One AH got to the side of the boat and flipped it to full auto and pulled the trigger. Talk about people beating feet and finding a place to hide this was the fastest I have seen. When the mag was empty he was staggering backwards with the gun about 80 degrees. He then had the balls to turn and say "I always wanted to do that". Cost him a chewing and two weeks of extra duty.

range nazi.....no shoot for you!I work at a shooting range, and the first thing I always do is ask "Do you have any experience w/firearms?" Of course no man in front of his friends wants to admit that they don't know what they are doing, so I hand them a mag and some snapcaps and ask them to load the magazine. If they even manage to to put he cartridges in the right way we are still moving forward here. Then I take the (fake) loaded mag place it in the gun and chamber the first round and put the gun on the table in front of them , taking one full step to the right. This is usualy the point where they put thier finger right on the trigger and pick up the gun sweeping you and others behind the counter. If they manage to get past that point we are still not home free, today I had a guy rack the slide for every round in the mag to clear all ten, somewhere after the second round, I took the gun and told him he is welcome to take our saftey class but with out it I can't let you shoot here. And then comes my favorite speach from them. "Dude it's not even loaded with real bullets". My response is "All guns are loaded guns, and there are no re-starts like a video game." Sorry to rant and to hear about your scarry experience, next time it happens report to the range master, and let the guy know that next time he does it, you are going to take his action as a sign of aggression and you will act accordingley...let him try to figure out what accordingley means.
