The funniest thing about this whole thread is everybody jumping on the Pawn Shop guy for paying $100 for $1500 worth of guns while the Calgunner "friend" was hoping to make out like a "bandit" by paying $800 for $1500 worth of guns.

I know breaking that rule is not punishable by fine or imprisonment or anything......................I'm just saying. It really isn't nice to intentionally cheat people. Just ask the business owning board members here. The one's that offer a good product at a fair price are STILL doing business. I'm not trying to start a pissing contest here, I just think it's a little extreme to imply that there are no dishonest pawnshops. C'mon, you can't honestly say that ALL pawnbrokers are completely honest. We all know that to be untrue. Granted, MOST probably are very honest. SOME are definitely dishonest. That's just the way it is.
Golden rule doesn't apply in free markets. Find a willing seller - Buy low. Find a willing buyer - sell high. It's up to the seller and buyer to educate themselves. This isn't charity. It's business.

Sure there may be some dishonest pawnshops. There might be some dishonest FFLs. But that's a fair wide brush you're tarring with there.

Amen to that. I guess me and JD will just have to agree to disagree. I still think (as lame as it may sound) that you should try to live by the "Golden Rule", business or not.
