    I can't stop spending!!

Does anybody tell themselves that they won't be spending any more money on guns and accessories(at least for the next week or two), but then figuring out that they need something else and end up spending a couple hundred dollars on something just to satisfy that urge? I feel like I'm living out of my means here

    Welcome to the club!

It is a long term disease. Wait until you give archery a try thinking it will be cheaper than gun sports. Then you just do both.

It would be quite nice if we could get a few trust worthy Cal gunners together and share lend gear back and forth so the $$$ could go farther.

I have three very expensive hobbies which all compete with each other.

1.) Shooting- I can't stop buying guns and accessories too. I just bought a Glock 17 and then before I new it, I went to Midway and was buying accessories for it.

2.) Saltwater Aquariums- I now have 2 aquariums and finally stopped buying things for them. I can't even count how much I have invested in my aquariums.

3.) My 3 year old daughter- Can't stop buying her stuff either.

I think I'm going to have to have my wife take my American Express Card away.

I built a 16 inch ar15 and i was done, then i wanted a 20inch upper, so i built it and a new a2 lower. And i thought i was done. I saw the eotech so i got one and that was a stretch, and for months i was satisfied. Then i got the itch to shoot nra high power and scrapped the eotech for a pair of iron sights. And i was done.

Last week my buddy brought over a lee enfield no4mk1/2. which i now own, and will be glass bedding this weekend in my pursuit to accurize it....

Its a disease, welcome to the club

I am always looking for a good deal even when it's something I don't need. Hell, I purchased a K31 a few weeks ago because the price was right and frankly I didn't need one because I already had one. BigBronco and I had this same discussion last week. It is an obsession that I hope my wife never finds out about

                          My collection is complete!

Except I still want a Kimber Raptor II, Saiga .308, AK pistol, Arsenal SGL 21, M1 Carbine.... after I get all those I'll be done for sure though

What if I built a really really lightweight AR? hmmm Crap I don't even have an AK in classic wood stocks.

I have the itch, but so far am managing it.

I made my list and gave myself some limitations. I can't buy for the next gun build until the current one is over. I prioritized my purchases based on likelihood they would get banned or decrease availability. I gave myself a little leeway to account for sales and Christmas.

The kids and family spending comes first. Bills must take priority. I downsized my other hobbies to allow for my gun desires. Bonuses and ebay sales go directly into the gun fund. I think this has helped me space things out because when I really want something then selling my old comics on ebay is part of the process in getting the next item. Working harder at work is part of the process. Making my computer last longer is part of the process. Maintaining the cars so I spend less on surprise repairs is part of updating my collection.

                              I know the feeling.. Since Thanksgiving I've bought ;

                              S&W .460 Magnum @GB
                              PlumCrazy lower
                              5.56 Upper from JSE
Spikes Tactical lower and DPMS LPK @GST
                              2 Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 @j&g
                              M1 Garand Receiver @GB
                              Marlin 336A .30-30 from a friend
Glock 30 and 10 mags from a fellow CalGunner
                              probably about 2000 rounds of ammo in 7.62x54R, .30-30, .45ACP, .45 Colt, .454 Casull
                              new cleaning kit and chemicals
                              a couple gun cases
                              AR accessories

I still need to get a few parts for the Garand and then have it rebarreled in .308
Then I'll need to pick up at least a few hundred rounds of 7.62x39 for it
And I need a case for it (Army style, of course)

Only firearm I might still purchase at this point is an M1 Carbine that a friend of a friend said he wants to sell to raise cash, but he won't return my calls, so don't know if that'll happen.

                              It's gotta stop, soon..
