    >OMG You have guns?

Um, yeah. The 2nd amendment allows me, kinda like how the 1st lets you ***** and moan about my hobbies

    >OMG, why do you have guns? The police will/have to protect you!

When the COPs are minutes away, seconds count.

    >OMG, why would you kill the intruder? Maybe he's trying to get stuff for his family.

The only thing he's getting is 690 grains heavier

    >wat?

    Three bullets to center mass.

    >wat?

Sometimes logic doesnt work on these people, so I have ended up trolling. Has worked pretty well on those Save the Whale/Peta people.

Why are you "friends" with an idiot that thinks you are "scary"? Oh, and your empty gun is about a useful as a vehicle with no fuel.

I'm guessing he's a lib, and being such, should believe in anthropogenic global warming. For each car he owns, he is directly contributing to the death of one out of 2000 people. Also, he is indirectly contributing to the death of the earth, humans, & baby polar bears. Why in the h*ll is this guy so content with this utter destruction he causes to get from a-to-b quicker?? He should walk/bike & sell his cars for carbon credits.

I've never really had people heckle me for that, usually they come off as nervous at first but if you talk about logically and don't get all defensive people usually accept it.

If they don't I don't interact with them again...I don't need stupid people in my life.

Sounds kind of belittling doesn't it.
Tell them you are not hiding. Behind the gun is the proper place to be when aiming it.

I would ask my family "when have i ever asked for your advice on my hobbies?" Then again I don't really care my families opinion or approval of the things that I do.

I don't expect to get everyone around me to accept guns or any of my other hobbies. Why should I? I have my reasons, whether they like it or not.

If others can't understand it, let them go **** themselves.

I was told today to find a new hobby, people being scared where Im "going" with "guns". Not once have I done anything unsafe, unethical, unmoral, or stupid with a firearm they are my hobby and protection as well as all of my fellow calgunners. So once again what am i supposed to say to get my point across my answers never seem to be good enough for people.
                          NapaPlinker,

If your refering to your work enviroment it's best never to tell anyone about your hobby. It's better to say you head to Vegas now and then to gamble than to say you shoot guns for a hobby.

Once you tell someone about it at work it spreads like wild fire and you can get fired. You think women are bad a spreading rumors???? Believe me... men are just as bad if not worse so gender doesn't mater.

Keep your mouth shut and don't take any of your co-workers to the range even if their your buddies. You'll pay a dear price for it.

Man I'm grateful to work where I do, both at the shop and many of our customers' places, they're stoked when I bring a gun to play with during lunch!

I love the old, "Man, I'll make sure to never piss you off now" remark...

I've started responding with, "Yeah, like I have any interest in giving up my rights and going to prison possibly forever just so I can arbitrarily shoot you for something petty."

I think people are used to guns only being props in the movies where getting shot or just randomly discharging a firearm in public isn't a big deal.
