Why is it that some folks find it their responsibility to go around policing other adults about the LAW and telling a RSO that someone may not be compliant. It's no ones business unless a LEO makes it theirs. If a person is so compelled to tattle so to speak why not just address the person they think is an offender? I have RAWs and BB ARs and I enjoy dropping a magazine and popping a new one in with virtually no distruption. I also see no need in monitoring others. They are adult, let them live their informed or uniformed lives. Just my .02..

That is one of the main reasons I HATE going to the range. To many snitches that don't know what they are talking about and it just creates drama. I never have that problem way out in my secret shooting spot.

"snitching" is a crappy way to look at it.. no one is informing someone that they are unintentionaly rockin an unregistered AW so get them in trouble or to make themselves look better... its to keep them from getting in trouble.. not because anyone cares about what happens to someone else but because everytime someone gets busted for an unregistered AW it gives the anti crowd another reason to put an end to ALL firearms..
if people at your local range are constantly getting poped for unregistered AWs your range will get fined till it goes out of business.. thats one less place to shoot.. not to mention all the bad press that will go along with it.. my .02

LEO cannot build their own AW. They must purchase it from a RAW dealer.

a featureless rifle with bullet button is not illegal.

its doesnt make much sense, but you could totally build it that way.

Ah, so a featureless rifle with a BB cannot have a 11+rd.mag but once the bullet button is removed then you can have a 11+rd.mag if you are a LEO or had the magazines pre-ban?

correct. ca pc 12276.1(a)(2) states "a semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than ten rounds." remove the bullet button, and the magazine is no longer fixed. and featureless rifles do not fall under any other descriptions in 12276.1(a)...

You could also legally borrow large capacity mags from a buddy who stays within an "accessible vicinity" for example going with you to the range or competition.

So, some of you would rather a fellow shooter be let to founder in ignorance, and possibly become some politicians pawn in another all out effort to take more of our rights, or more possibly getting that particular range closed due to too many ''dangerous assault rifles'', according to the local Police on the 6:00 news.

Keeping each other legally safe, and legally compliant seems, to me, to take precedent over some small minded fear of being a ''snitch''.

Not it's not. A snitch is a rat. A rat is a snitch. Simple as that. We all know what a snitch is. It can't be sugar coated.

So with that rationale, I take it you're saying it's okay to "snitch" someone off??? Let's face it, CA guns laws suck. If I saw someone with an "unregistered" black rifle, I wouldn't give a crap! I'd say, have fun, but watch your back! There are SNITCHES everywhere!!!!! I could care less that he/she is excercising a freedom and "former right" we Californians ONCE enjoyed a few years ago!

Yes, as long as you owned them prior to I think 1990. I'm sure others will chime in here. Check the Calguns Flowchart. I use a Solar Tactical grip wrap on an AK and use 30-rounders.

So we should all run around snitching to RO's and LEO's so as to get people busted and thus causing bad press in order not to have bad press?

Perhaps since we don't know who has registered AWs and who does not. Maybe we should all mind our own business and let others mind theirs. Now if "someone" really has the need to get into someone elses business. Perhaps they could approach the shooter instead of running to mommy or daddy.
