As above and put simply, the dealer was convincing you to commit a felony.
There is no brass pass for creating an AW by hanging >10 round mags on a featured but mag locked OLL. Guys in the business who say there is are whistling past the graveyard of their own careers. One pissy, anti-gun sergeant or lieutenant who knows how to read finds out and those guys will be done, pronto.
If you are a LEO with statutory authority to carry firearms, ask your department head for a letter and, if they provide the letter, buy and register a featured rifle that needs no maglock and won't make you a felon if you grab the wrong mags.

Not a lawyer, just a former LEO proud to have served.

To the thread crappers. There is a difference between an RO informing people of the law and calling the cops and having them come arrest people. Personally, I see nothing wrong with ROs informing their customers of legalities when the customer is violating the law. Of course, if you enjoy felony possession without anyone bothering you, you could always choose another range to go to.www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.Comment

A featureless rifle can be used with any size legally owned or legally borrowed detachable mag and no magazine lock. Including 10 round mags.

i would totally run featureless with 10rd mags, if that were all i had. the ease of the finger-operated mag release trumps even the most evil features, in my humble opinion.

Word. We need to stick together. Snitches get STITCHES.Not it's not. A snitch is a rat. A rat is a snitch. Simple as that. We all know what a snitch is. It can't be sugar coated.
So with that rationale, I take it you're saying it's okay to "snitch" someone off??? Let's face it, CA guns laws suck. If I saw someone with an "unregistered" black rifle, I wouldn't give a crap! I'd say, have fun, but watch your back! There are SNITCHES everywhere!!!!! I could care less that he/she is excercising a freedom and "former right" we Californians ONCE enjoyed a few years ago!
