It's just another FFL who does'nt like to do PPT's as required hoping they'll geta bad enough rep that people will not go to them to do PPT's. Very short sighted on the FFL's part but they usually cant see past the buck in front of them long enough to try to get repeat business.
Regarding the OP's problems I have never run into that situation doing a long gun there. Who was doing the paperwork? Just curious as there's a new guy there who is a "typical" know it all type gun store employee whereas everyone else there is pretty cool.
Iron sights was/is slow to jump into the OLL thing and that's very disappointing. Every FFL is different I guess and it's THEIR license on the line and THEIR decision.
