"...which from their verbosity, their endless tautologies, their involutions of case within case, and parenthesis within parenthesis, and their multiplied efforts at certainty by saids and aforesaids, by ors and by ands, to make them more plain, do really render them more perplexed and incomprehensible, not only to common readers, but to lawyers themselves. I recall other other burglary threads that were in Cerritos. This happened in Cerritos, Turby.
Anyways, I spoke to the Cerritos Sheriffs and, apparently, Cerritos is notorious for burglaries due to being a relative wealthier city than the surrounding towns and the multiple freeway access points. They happen here every day of the year.Comment

Heard of a few of them happen around here. Mostly older kids (with backpacks)walking the streets looking for an easy way in and out..Anything "Gold" is what they are looking for.
The kids see you leave the house, go ring the door bell. If somebody answers they are "looking for their lost dog". If nobody answer they look for away in.
My dog (Golden Retriever) would bark at em all day long. Once they got in the backyard and played with him, he'd probably open the door and show em where everythings at.It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Youd be surprised how not-odd this case is. This is becoming more and more common. This is an odd case.
1.) Burglary happened between 7am-12noon. Small window, and they had to have known the family's schedule.
2.) None of the expensive media was touched. They did *not* steal a handgun that was in one of the drawrs though
4.) Within the last 4 months, their neighbors have also been burgaled.
Typically it is teenagers in their late teens or even young 20-somethings. They knock on the front door usually to see if anyone is home before going around back and helping themselves.
Typically neighbors don't see anything or remember it because it doesn't look out of place as they try to look like they belong there or are regular visitors.
The media in the living room and the gun lead one to believe that they are young and have done this before, they don't want to walk down the street carrying bulky items or get pinched with a gun if they did get stopped. Cash and some jewelry is much easier to run with.
As far as it occuring in the last 4 months, look for it to happen again fairly soon.
This all comes from first hand experience with the matter ^Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friendsComment

Seven years may be a long time for a necrothread, but the advice therein is still valid. It's the beginning of summer, and there are a lot of kids out of school, getting into trouble. The sun is warm and windows are being left open. The families are going on their vacations, and people are in good moods, complacent and unworrying.RIP Cpl Contreras, Sgt Atwell and LtCol Raible.Comment

Burglaries in Cerritos have been going on for quite some time - and I'm talking 25+ years. This happened in Cerritos, Turby.
Anyways, I spoke to the Cerritos Sheriffs and, apparently, Cerritos is notorious for burglaries due to being a relative wealthier city than the surrounding towns and the multiple freeway access points. They happen here every day of the year.
I grew up there, before the Cerritos mall was enclosed, and when there were still dairy cows. I live down the street now (two freeway exits away) in Long Beach.
