GPal (Gunpal) problems?

A couple of hours ago, calguns.net, thehighroad.us (hosted by geovario) and geovario.com all went down at the same time. I thought maybe the FBI had seized the servers

Turns out it was just a technical problem. For now anyway...

You commit a great disservice to those at Castboolits by impugning them so. The moderators there have done an excellent job and the members have diligently shone light upon things that never see the light of day here. That discrepancy shows Calguns in a very bad light. Or rather, when Calguns has the bright light of truth turned fully upon it, it looks poorly.

If Calguns survives the mess that it has become entangled in, it will only be due to some major changes from the ground up. This would be a good thing.

To be fair....It's not just there that it's happening. Gun forums all over the net are looking at CG in a negative light for not distancing themselves from Gpal.

There are people of questionable judgment all over the world.
People repeat stuff that they don't know it it's true or not.
I repeat, the castboolits place is a dog-pile.
People come here just to stir stuff up.

What are you doing to make sure information repeated is correct?

Well first off, it's not my job to correct anyone's perception of whats going on. And people everywhere make their own perceptions, be they real or simply perceived by whats in front of them. And people everywhere know that there is a real link between CG and Gpal. Even if it's a small one.
Secondly I only know what I've read here in the short time I've been here. And that has only told me that even people here of long standing are in question as to why CG still allows Gpal to have their own forum here. Not to mention all of the questionable linking Cannon seems to mock towards CG still.

All I'm trying to say is CG is being hurt by all of this like it or not.

So if people were repeating stuff about you that was negative and not accurate - you are totally cool with people just letting it go on, no big deal. I call b.s. on that. We've had other vendors with issues - even one that was stirring the brown stuff over there!!

If you don't care about truth and accuracy, and you're content to just sit by...... I'm surprised. I think most people are here to learn from the forum, and many contribute in one way or another. Many positive things have come out of this forum.

-People (some, most, doesn't really matter, because its enough) are not getting their money on time

-GPAL has never offered an explanation of what is happening

If you drive a taxi cab, and a customer enters your cab, you now have an implied contract with that customer to take them where they need to go in exchange for your fee. If the customer asks you to pull over so they can rob a bank on the way to their destination, your contract is null and void. You have no obligation to support criminal activity, regardless of civil contract. In fact, if you now continue, you're now an accessory.

Until the GPal website indicates that there will be delays in processing payments, and there's a PROMINENT link on the GPal website to the thread at Calguns.net, it's a fraud.

At this point in time, you do not have proof of fraud. There is slow processing. There are frustrated people. don't have proof of fraud.

You are obviously a fraud. You make claims about the CB thread w/o even reading it. Anyone who reads it will see all the proof they need.

Took me exactly one phone call to a retired USAF colonel pal I served with who is now at DIA to confirm that the only Ben Cannon they know about serves in Congress.

"Founded Cartesian Internet Systems" blah blah. State records show it was founded in 1988. Ben was 7. I'm not sure even Bill Gates or Steve Job were founding computer companies at that age. So what, is Ben Cannon related to Al Gore in some way?

And yet, there are still a handful of kool-aid servers on CGN who can't understand why so many people are disgusted with Ben Cannon, but also wondering why certain CGF board members cling to his defense.

Best thing for CGF to do in order to re-establish their credibility is to immediately distance themselves from Ben Cannon. A simple statement commenting on how they were duped or fooled by his slick lies, propaganda and outright bravo-sierra would go a long ways into restoring some confidence in the Foundation's leadership. Certain board members need to be removed. No fanfare over their removal, they just need to resign amicably for personal reasons.

But if CGF doesn't do anything, then their inclusive and overall reputation will continue to get hammered.

Seriously????? You're going to use my own personal defamation and will (or lack of) to defend myself as a comaprison to this mess???? That's so off the beaten path of this dicussion it's not even funny.

First off that has absolutely no comparison value to the issue at hand!
But if we were to use that as a basis for this argument then we'd have to use it as a side by side comparison of individuals such as Cannon and myself wouldn't we? So you'd have to give valid evidence of Cannon using transparancy and whole hearted defense of himself and his companys actions in order to even begin to use this argument wouldn't you?
