Or I could say, "leave the house now and don't ever come back." Follow him out the front door (at a safe distance) and watch him drive away.

Shoe him out the door and he'll be on the phone to 911 reporting YOU as the wacko waving a gun at him from your front door as he drove by.

Always be the first to contact the police.


If he's cooperative, wait for the cops. Chances are, he won't be cooperative and will attempt to escape.
Make sure you get a GOOD description, and preferably have whoever phone's 911 snap a few photos.

If you let someone go chances are he could come back and with friends. Remember the likelihood of this to begin with is small, but the mentality of those that do home invasion is unknown. Don't risk letting him go and do the rest of us a favor and get him off the streets.

Is that really likely, though?

He's already seen the interior layout of your house.
He knows how he got in, and how he may get in again.

Most importantly, he knows you have guns.... more motivation for a repeat visit. He'll just be more careful and make sure that you are asleep, in the shower, or at work.

I'm planning to add some Monadnock Double Cuff Disposable Handcuffs to my utility belt. I thought I'd seen somewhere a pouch designed for these but can't seem to find it now.

What is the best way to carry plastic cuffs on a utility belt so that they don't get in the way but are reasonably handy?

Maybe you would be better served spending your hard earned $$$$ on some good locks and a good security system than spending it on so much tin foil....

Seriously, OP, forget the "bat belt", cuffing, and shooing him out the door like he's some stray dog. Invest in some good locks instead.

If you feel you must take on the guaranteed tide of home invasions you will be having, get some practical training, both legal and firearms. Are we sure this isn't Gecko45?
