I agree. And not allowing head shots on paper targets keep everyone safer how?
My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

I have a pretty reliable source that says it was someone who died of old age while waiting for the staff to complete his PPT.

The Long Beach Police academy/public range was the scariest. You had to go down these steps down a hall way to the end of the range and then walk along this wall to put up your targets. You had to step away from the wall and pull down the target holder which was about 15 feet above your head and put your target on it and then push it back up all the while bullets are hitting targets right next to yours. Ohh and you were standing about on an about an inch thick layer of shrapnel on the ground.

Sooooooooo...what exactly happened at Target Masters? I was planning on going for happy hour next week, but I might just head out to an outdoor range that does NOT rent guns.

I think they're worried about people missing and damaging the hangers.

Haha! A long time ago at TM I witnessed a little Asian guy in a lane a couple over from us shoot a hole in the ceiling directly above his head with a 357. Obviously a caliber larger than he could handle. He motioned to me "shhh" not to say anything. I was a kid at the time and we just picked up our **** and got the hell out of there. F'n Derelict.

To be fair, the target holders at Target Master have large steel square plates (instead of small clips) that hold them up in either corner. Have you seen the quality of shooters at Target Masters? If you hit that plate with a bullet, you will get a nasty ricochet.

I like head shots, and I like double-taps... but let's face it, at a place like Target Masters (that rents guns to newbies and rents out lanes to group parties the way a bowling alley does) prohibiting those is a good idea. Next time you are there, look at all the holes in the ceiling and walls. I'm not saying it doesn't happen at all ranges, but in my opinion, that place is home to a lot of "casual" shooters.

You know what's really scary, go to any indoor range, stand in your lane, and look up. Countless negligent discharges in the ceiling!

This is true. Also cops are exempt from the head shot and rapid fire rules. But I've seen local and federal agents shoot down the lines before there. Quite crappy when I used to work there and had to endure more lead in my system because some dumb cop was trigger happy. Now that not to say regular joe's haven't done it...

I just know that those retards that work there think that everyone shoots as bad as they do, so the rules definitely cross the line into Stupid.

At TM one day, I once left a box of ammo open behind me and my spent shell landed on it an somehow struck the primer of a round which blew up and the exploded casing broke one of their overhead lights. That was wild. I never found the bullet. Keep those boxes closed.

                              Shooting accidental, police believe

A San Jose woman was the victim of what Milpitas police are calling an accidental shooting at a local indoor shooting range Sunday afternoon.

At about 3:23 p.m. on Jan. 31, police responded to Target Masters at 122 Minnis Circle on a report of a person being shot. A preliminary investigation revealed a 48-year-old woman may have mishandled a firearm and it accidentally discharged. The woman shot herself in the torso and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, police said. They said the victim is expected to survive and there were no other reported injuries.

Police Chief Dennis Graham said the shooting was most likely accidental in nature.

"There's no kind of assault, according to witnesses," Graham said.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with any information regarding this case is encouraged to call Milpitas Police Department at 586-2400.

You sure someone else didnt just shoot the light at the same time? I don't see that happening.
