How do you know the holes in the ceiling weren't deliberate?

You sure someone else didnt just shoot the light at the same time? I don't see that happening.

It happened, I wasn't imagining things. I did forget to mention that my 9mm paper/plastic box was partly exploded and one round was missing. The rounds facing down, the shell flew off the bullet. My brother was hit in the face too by shrapnel from the exploded casing. Perhaps the spent shell (after setting of the loaded round) hit him and the exploded shell broke the lighting. I don't know if it was the heat or the impact or both but my empty casing I shot off spun off behind me and ignited/impacted that round in the open ammo box. Must be a 1 in a million thing. Truth is stranger than fiction.

The Long Beach Police academy/public range was the scariest. You had to go down these steps down a hall way to the end of the range and then walk along this wall to put up your targets. You had to step away from the wall and pull down the target holder which was about 15 feet above your head and put your target on it and then push it back up all the while bullets are hitting targets right next to yours. Ohh and you were standing about on an about an inch thick layer of shrapnel on the ground.

Doesnt sound scary at all, sounds exactly like how the Marine Corps does it on its KD Range. Imagine now, 25-30 people doing it at the same time for 25-30 shooters, then they switch out and do it for each other.

Im sitting here trying to figure out how this could happen. Could it have been a riccochet that set off the round versus a spent casing? I just cant see a spent casing spooling up enough speed to make a primer strike hard enough to fire. Granted, anything is possible, im just wondering about other possibilities.

At TM one day, I once left a box of ammo open behind me and my spent shell landed on it an somehow struck the primer of a round which blew up and the exploded casing broke one of their overhead lights. That was wild. I never found the bullet. Keep those boxes closed.

i was shooting other day with a buddy and I mentioned target masters and he cringed and told me how scary that place is due to people and shooters who seem to not know what is going on and more stuff along those lines of the sketchyness. hmmm.

Happy Hour 1PM to 4 PM $5

Best time to shoot is right after the lunch hour (13:00-16:00). You get the dedicated shooters and their friends there. No problems seen by me and I have been shooting there for years.

Evenings are always interesting at Target Masters. I avoid evenings.
