Thanks for posting this here, I just saw it on ARFCOM.

We need to spread the word about this piece of trash that some call an article.

It's kind of like how we don't really need to speak in the months before elections, right?

Some people certainly don't understand what they stand to lose.

Sound to me like he's running for a Democrate Party Congressional seat!
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

So i guess this means no more sporterized K-98's or 03's , since these were at one time "assault rifles".

It's unfortunate that he has that 'grumpy old man, "Hey ya damn kids, Get Off My Lawn"' attitude. It's pretty parochial, too. I wonder if he also sneers at people who use an autoloader to shoot skeet or upland? Think he hates beer drinkers? Or people who buy their cheese at Safeway? or <gasp> canned soup?

I'm willing to bet he only skis at Deer Valley, Alta and Taos because they've banned snowboarding.

The pleasure he gets from looking down his nose at the rest of us must be nigh unbearable. He probably needs to wear a tailored adult undergarment (preferrably from someone on Savile Row).

Funny, I like to distance myself from hunters, since I don't shoot living things with my evil black rifles . (Not that I have anything against hunting. I'm a carnivore after all; it's just not something I do).

Ron White had a good one about his relative who's a hunter. Like him, I don't feel the need to wake up at the buttcrack of dawn to go shoot something which I may or may not actually get the chance to shoot.

What a tool. He obviously cares nothing about the Second Amendment and how easily our rights will be lost if sell-outs like him continue to go out there and suck up to the anti-gun crowd.

That's a really shortsighted article by old Jim. This is what the antis get all wet about. Seperate and conquer. Get the "hunters" to agree that "AW's" are bad and ban them. Then turn around and ban all semi's etc......
This is the kind of division in our own AWB here in PRK. They didn't ban all semi's or all semi's with detachable mags 'cuz ganpappy's got an old Garand or M1A like the one he used in the war. You can't legislatee against granpappy's.
Soon enough, some anti will realize all the WWII vets are dead (that day is coming soon) and decide no granpappy=no Garand.

Maybe Zumbo would state we should all go back to flintlock muzzleloaders when we duck hunt too. That's not very sporting, no chance of a follow up shot to take down a cripple.

BTW - I've always wondered; and don't take this the wrong way. Even after meeting him about 15 years ago, I couldn't tell. Is Zumbo African-American? Just curious.

                          Sling Shots For Hunters

As I write this, I'm hunting coyotes in southeastern Wyoming with Eddie Stevenson, PR Manager for Remington Slingshot Division, (formerly Remington Arms), Greg Dennison, who is senior research engineer for Remington, and several writers. We're testing Remington's brand new Mossy Oak Breakup Wrist Cannon on coyotes. . We were supposed to be testing their .17 cal Spitfire bullet, but it was determined that someone had been thinking about building an assault weapon using this caliber, and the .17 cal Spifire has been banned, as we are all aware of how devastating that would be in the wrong hands.

There, I fixed it for him.
This guy clearly doesn't get it that he is their coyote, and he and his .17 cal Spitfire, and anything else that goes bang, is as much in their sights as any AW!

Looks like Jimbo Zumbo just lost his job...Please read the notice below as I copied it from the Remington CEO.

ALL - Jim Zumbo in NO WAY speaks for Remington! His opinions are his own. We at Remington take our 2nd Ammendment Rights extremely seriously and ourselves market and manufacturer a AR based 308 rifle. Remington Arms supports the lawful use of all firearms by thier owners in whatever legal manner they choose. We at Remington feel that it is the diversity of our tastes and uses of fireaems that should also be the binding element that assists us all in defending the rights granted to us by our fore fathers.
Rest assured that remington not only does not support jim's view, we totally disagree! I have no explaination for his perspective.
I proudly own AR's and support everyones right to do so!
What makes me sick is how quickly people on the internet have called to boycott Remington. All Jim said was he was hunting with our people! This is normal course in our industry. How else do people think we field test? with writers.
Remington has spent tens of millions of dollars to defend your rights and how quickly the thanks is threat and boycott! Please feel Free to post that remington does not agree with Zumbo in any way shape or form and we will assess our relationship with him accordingly.

Yea I didn't think Remington would support such a moronic point of view.

Now I think I'll go shoot some Remington UMC brand .223 through my "evil terrorist rifle".
