I don't understand how someone can feel "forced out" of a property they do not own after two years of knowing the owner wants them gone. Sounds like he should have packed up and moved one year and eleven months ago.

Ahh well. All's well that ends well, I suppose.

I purchased a kimber 1911 back in June, and I paid for it on my credit card back then. Cost was over $1100. They told me it would take 4-6 months to build it. Anyways, to cut the story short, I don't have the gun and I came across this forum for help. I spoke to the owner, John Barritt on 12/14 and he informed me that the store had been foreclosed on and the bank raised the rent, so he moved everything in storage. He said he had to wait to get the computers up online before he could process returns, but that I should get it in 10 days, definitely before the end of the year though.

Well I have not got my refund and he will not return my calls. Any help would be appreciated.

Call your credit card company. Explain the situation. They will help you out. The good thing about putting things on credit cards is you have an easier time if/when things go bad.

          Location Location Location

I think Badger Johns first mistake was to move from their mid sized shop in a good location with limited parking, to a huge shop in a bad location with lots of parking. I have been to both locations and it seemed and looked quite busy in their old location, and after the move to the new place nada. Just about everything in that building has gone under. Not alot of people knew how to get there, even though it's visible from the freeway. When they first moved to the new location it didn't appear they even had close to enough stuff to fill it. Whereas the old place just seemed just right if not a little bit crowded. Good luck to him and especially his customers who have paid and with property in his possession.

I only know of one business that was back there that didn't go out of business and it was a chain store that got out as soon as a new building was finished for it.

Can someone please provide me with the owner's (John Barritt) current contact information (telephone number, address, anything)? He has a very valuable rifle of mine that was placed on consignment. I have been trying to retrieve it for months. My numerous emails to him have gone unanswered. I desperately need help regarding this.

Feel free to respond publicly or by private message. Thanks much!

Thanks, me too. It's my hope to resolve this situation without much more fuss. I really do not want to go through the hassle of a legal process to retrieve my property.
