I did the paperwork and paid them the 35 transfer fee. Bought the gun from a private seller.

Crappp. That's even worse. I will now do any PPT's at my local Big 5. They may struggle with the paperwork but atleast I know they will be around in 10 days.

keep all your paperwork (dros and receipt) make copies
Call your local BATFe office regarding this FFL,
report the serial # to your local LE dept as stolen by criminal FFL
if possible get a police report on the stolen firearm

That sounds like a good way to pursue this.

              Good Luck!

                  very common as it

                  (1) helps SEO for the main site
                  (2) uses up free GoDaddy hosting points they offer to throw something on a spare domain and get that listed in the SE organically - costs you nothing
                  (3) makes microsites for "speciality" sites related to the "main" site
                  (4) allows, if done right, more specific targeting to be done on these multiple sites all in an effort to get more sales given they seem like different sites with diff looks and diff content
                  (5) allows you to test concepts and results on not primary sites to see results of marketing, content, etc
                  (6) allows you to earn money using adsense and adwords on free domains - so just put up a site and put adds on it and they get clicked and you earn revenue

Ah Badger, we hardly knew ye......

Had a couple of nice transactions there over the last couple of years. Looked like the business was in trouble for at least the last year or so.

I believe some business plans/deals went south after they moved into the new building. I can't confirm or deny.

I would suggest calling some other local gun shops (River City, Just Guns, Cordova shooting center) to see if they have any intel. You never know. They may be able to give you some direction.

I wish you the best. I had a simular thing happen to me w/ B&E in OC. They went BK w/o telling anyone and everything got caught up in court. Lost my gun and money on that one. Was part of a class action, but got nothing in the end.

I don't think his local P.D. will be interested in filing a "stolen" report, as he can't say for sure the person responsible for the store actually had the intent to permanently deprive the O/P of his firearm.

So far it's just a "civil problem".

BATFE and DOJ would be the best avenue to pursue.

wow I am shocked to here this. Definately keep us updated on what happens. I would suggest what someone else mentioned was trying to call other local sacramento shops to see if they may know something.

Man the sucks. I have done PPT there and bought a few things. My kids loved all the mounts.

Definitely talk to the SO. This has fraud written all over it. You can't tell me 13 days ago they had no idea they would be gone
