was watching skinemax one nite... i woke up to movie where this one bad guy was threatening another dude with a semi auto...
to be even badder, he racks the slide. but the slide locks to the rear! what does MR BAD *** do? he continues to point the pistol at the guy with a slide locked gun...

The one I see ALL THE TIME which drives me CRAZY is when anyone in the movie pulls out a gun in an act of intimidation (i.e. bad guy makes a move for the door and good guy pulls his gun) and you hear the "CLICK" of the hammer being pulled back... WHEN IT'S A HAMMERLESS SEMI-AUTO!!!!!! Drives me bonkers. It's one thing when Mel in Lethal Weapon pulls a Beretta 92FS on a regular basis and the first thing he does is pull back the hammer... but with a hammerless gun?
They do the same thing the other way around too. They'll put in the sound of a semi-suto slide racking when the character is simply pulling back the hammer "CHICK-CHICK" instead of "CLICK".

my personal favorite is when they're threatening someone all over the place, and then when they get REALLY serious they rack the slide or pump a shell into the shotgun

pretty sure I've heard that semi-auto pistol with the shotgun-racking slide... sounds impressive. gonna have to get one of those.

every time I see that I think... "do you KNOW how much that gun COST?!?" <sigh>
wish I could afford to toss guns away just because they're out of ammo... ok, not that I'd do that, just wish I had that much money.
