terrible hollywood fails

Okay you know you see them, watching a movie and someone reaches into a hole to pull out whats inside and its a casing instead of a bullet... I figured we should have a thread to whine about them..

I'll start:

I was watching CSI: NY today and a moving cop on a horse was shot from over a mile away and the bullet went thru the back of his vest, through his body, through the front of the vest and about a foot into the horse. When the showed the gun.. lol nothing more than an Colt M16A2!! It looked about like a standard configuration too..

COME ON! Who is responsible for props on this show!

If there is another thread about these can someone point me in the direction? I couldn't find any..

I eas watching The Matrix the other night. There was a part when Neo was shooting 2 skorpion SMGs at the same time then they cut to another shot of the brass hitting the ground. All the brass hitting the ground was .223!

I recently watched the taking of pelham 123

One of the cops gives Denzel Washington a walther ppk right before he goes to meet up with John Travolta. The cop shows Denzel how to use the safety. A few minutes later Denzel pulls the gun out of the bag and its a Kahr k9.. which has no safety.

Oh man.....don't go ruining one of my favorite movies. I think the 20min long shoot out sequence at the end of that movie is one of the best in hollywood right behind the bank shoot out in "Heat".

Big deal.....so the prop but forgot to put the rear sight on in that one scene.

Last weekend on Bones(the missus is into it) they pull out a rusted small pocket 22 (Beretta 950?) and called it a Ruger Mk III.

Shooter, the snow scene when the bad guy is leaking all over the snow after getting his arm blown off. The girl grabs the chrome 1911 .45 and empties the magazine, all 4 or 5 rounds, into the one-armed baddie. Apparently it was a double-action 1911... The slide locks back with the last round. Some scene cuts, back to the 1911 and the slide has since dropped while she's still pulling the trigger.

It's been a while since seeing that movie so I may have some elements of the series of mistakes out of line. But there were sooooo many things wrong in that scene, if you paid attention, your head would hurt.
