I'm thinking of using something like this lock right here:

Hypothetically, pushing the last button in the sequence would be faster then rotating a wheel.

Personally, I think misdirection or concealment is important in the principles of camouflage. So I think the "Don't tread on me" on the murse is calling unnecessary attention to its purpose and telegraphing its contents to BGs and OPFORs.

"The element of surprise is a vital asset on the battle field and should never be given away only traded for more advantage."

Looks like your average laptop bag. Put a shoulder strap on it, and it's even easy to carry.

Good idea. I need to rig up something for my new bag that doesn't have any loops for a lock.

I was also thinking of using key rings (to put my lock through). What do you guys think of that? Should I put loctite in the seems so they can't be easily defeated by a 10 year old?

Believe it or not, I just bought one of these small Condor pouches and my Kahr PM40 fits in it:

I shortened the zipper lanyards to be just enough for a lock to fit through so you can't open it at all while it's locked. It fits the gun plus two mags, pretty nice for really small guns.

A question comes to mind for the LUCC's using the murse? If you are getting robbed/mugged for the murse pack, Are you pretty much screwed as to having to give up your weapon because it's only at a stage where it's pretty much useless?

You're not screwed if you have other ways of neutralizing the perp, but yeah, you're screwed as far as stalling for time to unlock your bag, pull out your gun, load it and then shoot the guy. LUCC isn't really for "instant action" but it certainly could come in handy in plenty of other situations.

While we're here arguing about the latest high tech running shoes, there's some Kenyan out there running barefoot. Guess who's gonna win the marathon?

How about a label that says Paint Samples, Wallpaper Samples or Carpet Swatches?

If someone is threatening you with a deadly weapon, or if physically obviously capable of causing injury, yes, you can.

You could certainly do that, but then you run the risk of some housewife wanting to check out what you've got to offer.

I like plain, black, and unlabelled on my LUCC case personally.
