Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

True, true. But if you look closely, you'll see that I wrote "rifle ammo".

One doesn't tend to shoot a lot of .45 in a rifle unless your shooting a full-auto Thompson

^ Sure, it could be 9 mil, but it looks a little fat to me.

At any rate, WHERE'S MY .223!?!? (for $4.99 a box)

When many say the shortage is because of war, latest WM reports say 5.56 is in abundance there... Seems kinda wierd

In Walmart. Isn't 5.56 supposed to be the scarcest because it's the main military round?

We are already seeing, like a few posters have said, the ammo shortage going away. Those that were stocking up are pretty much stocked...you can only buy so much and where are you going to store it? Plus, with the jacked economy, how much ammo are you actually going to be able to afford?

Plus, it looks like some of the manufaturers are actually catching up...thier long term big contracts depend on it... The retailers dont want to miss out on all that money. Manufacturers dont want to lose out to the next guy who can fill orders that they cant. There is little loyalty when it comes to missing out on al that money.

I saw many many pallets of ammo at the end of the last day at teh Reno gun show that were left over after 3 days of buying.

I think we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Now, when I go into walmart, there is ammo on the shelves of most calibers. Where I used to buy it just because it was there, now I only buy it when I need it. All my ammo buying friends are doing the same. Im tired of spending too much money on ammo just for the sake of having it...

The simple answer is that the ammo shortage will end when there is plenty of ammo!

However, that isn't a smart arse answer, I am being serious. The only reason people are buying so much ammo is because there is no ammo. It is called panic buying. When there was plenty of ammo on the shelves, most people weren't out spending whole paychecks on ammo.

Now that you can't find any anywhere, they are going and buying as much as they can.

When your regular Joe Shooter can go back into Walmart and buy 50 rounds to shoot this weekend, he won't panic and he will only buy 50 rounds.

Now when will the supply catch up to the demand? When people feel they have enough ammo.

                                Good replies everyone.

I would gun like to see ammo plentiful in my area once again......and not have to wait 2 hours at the gun show to get some. That's all I ask!
