    Walmart ammo.

Last year Walmart announced that it would sell ammunition again but I guess not in California?

Walmart never stopped selling ammo here, except when they couldn't get any.

Too many requirements to sell ammo in California. IIRC among other things, employees would require a COE to run the background check. I also don't recall any of the Walmarts in California selling firearms, even back when they sold ammo. Perhaps they might sell it again if the ammo background check law gets struck down.

Then you must be a young kid. CA Walmarts sold firearms as late as around 2000-2003 or so. I purchased several firearms from Walmart and Kmart!

Walmart has ammo for sale here in AZ. Walmart's policy is you must show gov. ID to buy ammo. Your gov. ID must not have any defects in it, such a cracks or chips or missing little pieces or it is considered "altered" as per Walmart policy. Unlike my credit cards, my AZ driver's licence has a tendency to self destruct in my wallet.

Go around the corner to a real store and use this same "altered" ID and buy a gun though.

              F*** Walmart.

I usually dump $100-150 on 22lr every time I’m in Walmart, once or twice a month. My wife’s favorite breakfast spot is in Benson, we will hit the Walmart up the road from it. The other day I ended up buying a couple boxes of that Winchester silver tip 22 ammo just to try it out, along with some Federal blue box and mini mags. You can never have enough 22 lr.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

I’m here in the Florida Panhandle, formerly Bay Area resident.
Our Walmart only had shotgun shell for the longest time, now mostly.22 and hunting rifle rounds. No handgun , AR, AK, FMJ .308.

I bought a shotgun at a Walmart in southern California in the late 90's.
They didn't sell handguns but they definitely sold rifles and shotguns.

I have more than enough .22 and that's after I sold 10,000 rounds during the Great Ammo Crush of 2020. I've bought very little ammo from Walmart since I got back to AZ because they never have anything I want. I used to buy quite a bit from the Milpitas store when I was still in kali.

Speaking of Benson, have you seen Dark Star?

The last time I bought ammo at a CA Walmart was probably 2017 in Oceanside. IIRC, it was one of the very last stores in SD county to still carry ammo.
