I have no heirs or family.

    Won't be my problem.

Have the guns, ammo, and other necessary supplies buried with you. Then your offspring will know where to dig up the cache when the SHTF.

I told my wife that none of my brothers get anything unless they pay double the value.
That being said we have 2 SiL's. I told her do a lottery. They pull a number and they get the corresponding firearm. The reloading stuff goes to the one that will use it. If a tie they can draw cards. I live in a state that doesn't need an FFL to do a transfer.

Sell the hardware you aren't using... Today. Don't wait around. Sell. No one is going to get
more money for your guns than you can.

No one wants to deal with your guns when you are gone. No one. They will sell you stuff for
              ten cents on the dollar.

Take your money and enjoy life. Don't leave a mess for your family & friends to argue over.

When you die your guns go with you.. as ghost guns.

                      Duh.

Why do I have to do the heavy lifting here?

Might be a good time to start downsizing your collection just to make it easier on her just incase something happens

On a serious note, I would like an arrangement whereby some of my weapons were gifted to an organization that provides Second Amendment training / opportunities to youth. The idea is still a work in progress. My first attempt was a crash and burn. However, I have learned that Hillsdale has some programs that might fit the bill.

I have a list of the guns that my kids and two nephews want. I've started giving them some of those already. They are reasonably young and should enjoy them now. My older son is a gun fancier himself and knows about the parts and accessories and ammo. I told him whatever the relations don't want to consign with an auction house. I never had a 'rich uncle' when I was young to give me some guns so I'm filling that roll now. My nephew loved the 1006 with 5 magazines and 500 rounds of ammo he got recently. It was worth seeing the joy on his face when he got it.

                              Yes, exactly.

I helped my Uncle do this for his large collection. He was getting less mobile and wanted to sell before he died. He was a great negotiator and got top dollar for everything. Gave me the rest for helping him.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
                              Come on...what harm??

Everyone I know who has passed on leaving a will , trust or not things just disappeared from the house , garage or shop.
Even before they passed . It's really sad.
I feel like people are just waiting for elders to die so they can get the inheritance and that's all they care about.
