Some FFLs have a policy to wait for actual [snail mail letter] from DOJ prior to release. Not an efficient way to do business. OR required by law. When all they have to do is CALL DOJ after getting the [undetermined] notice electronically. And get the NICS #.Originally posted by 17bbHow come it was a 40 day delay?
Don?t tell me the FFL told you the delay starts after the 10 day waiting period is up.Comment

California DOJ plays by their own rules. Their lack of resources to complete these decisions in a timely manner is no doubt intentional and by design.
Gruesom wants to be president. Bonta wants to be Governor. That's all that matters to them. Don't expect professionalism, morality or any sense of justice to come from either of these rubes. Ever.Comment

I?m fairly certain he called it in. I texted him 30 minutes or so before heading over for pickup and we had spoke the day prior about him releasing. When I got there he was on the phone for another 20 minutes or so before I could enter his shop.Comment

I also get random delays and then a 30 day undetermined. Seems like every third time? My question is: I have a VAF UPIN and I put in on line 9 on my DROS but the dealer says it is useless in the DROS because there is no place for them to enter it. Anyone have experience with this?

About all I know about it is you have to keep it active every 90 days or something like that. Seems pointless if CA DOJ BOF can?t utilize it. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.I also get random delays and then a 30 day undetermined. Seems like every third time? I just got delayed again too for a .22lr pistol even though I literally just renewed my CCW two weeks ago as well as my state issued Security Guard card last month.
Info and applications on both of those credentials go to the same place that DROS info goes to…..CA DOJ. Last DROS for an Sig Xmacro went through in 10 days no issues. DROS before the Sig was delayed for a shotgun. The intentional hold up and flip flopping by the turds up in Sac DOJ only prompts me to buy more guns every time just to give them the finger and make them work. DOJ make great salesmen. Just gonna have to wait but in the end….I will receive my property.sigpicComment

Will continue to happen until a class-action lawsuit is filed against Bonta and the DOJ.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment
