The iconic Oregon Thunder Ranch itself is on the market and the Thunder Ranch base of operations is going to move to a location TBD.

Figured as much I guess. At first I didn't think Thunder Ranch had been around that long, but it has been 27-28 years, so makes sense.

It looks like Thunder Ranch is changing to be like a lot of other training outfits, where they come to your range and put on classes there. You won't get their great facilities but you won't have to travel to OR either. Personally, I would never take a class there. Too far to drive and I'm not going to drag all my guns and ammo through airports. I like the idea of traveling instructors. Lots of good east coast instructors that I would never travel to, and I'm sure lots of east coasters say the same about Thunder Ranch.

The gun laws are changing in Oregon. Clint mentioned it in one of the videos when they moved there in the 1990s gun laws were the same as Texas. Also his wife mother was there and now deceased. Bet he’s moving to Nevada, which is why more and more classes have been in Nevada.

Nevada is leaning further and further left every election cycle, not sure why he'd move there when Texas, Florida, Arizona (don't get me started on the latest Senate elections), South Dakota, and Wyoming are all pretty stable with regards to gun laws.

NV already sucks with kali-style registration and waiting periods. Might not affect him much though. I would think he'd like UT better, maybe get another place in the mountains.

Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota all seem like placed where one could get a ton of land pretty cheap and make another haven. Proximity to an airport might be an issue though.

I was going to buy it, but he doesn't know what kind of trout are in the ponds.
                        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Yeah, and the main house only has ten foot ceilings. How very pedestrian...

Clint strikes me as the type of guy that will never retire. Maybe he's looking to dial things back a little and not having to maintain a facility and 877 acres will take a fair amount off his plate. But I just don't see him as the kind to sit in a rocking chair on the porch all day. He's way too feisty for that.

I may be wrong of course.

Interestingly I ran into Cory Trapp from Gunsite today while getting some propane tanks filled at our local Ford dealer.

I hadn't seen him in over 30 years.

He's the guy on Gun Stories who shoots all the guns. He has very gray hair and beard.

                              Nice guy.
