As a new firearms owner I've cycled through a few different handguns in the last year and a half. Started with a Beretta, then another Beretta, then a 1911, then an XD9, and now have added a few Glocks.
I've sold the 1911 and one of the Berettas, leaving me with the M9A1, the XD9 and the two Glock 17's. Love the Beretta, so that's not going anywhere. Since getting the Glocks I've really had little interest in the XD9.
The XD9 a fantastic firearm. I had a local gunsmith install Trijicon HD XR sights, replaced the firing pin roll pin, and I installed a Powder River trigger kit, have a Blade-Tech holster and mag pouch for it and something like 10 mags for it. Super smooth, super easy to shoot. Only put 50 rounds through it, but just prefer everything about the Glocks more.
Can't decide if I should just keep it as a loaner gun if anyone ever wants to come to classes with me and don't own their own firearm. Or I could sell it given it's in fantastic condition, and buy another Glock with the proceeds or toward a semi-auto 12g shotgun (already have a nice 590A1 pump). Also been wanting to get a revolver; maybe a S&W 686+...
Decisions, decisions...
