          "Counted" your ammo. That's cute!

Well Looks like I might have to do some counting after all. A friend of mine has asked me to help him. He needs to sort and count his ammo. This could be interesting because he was a FFL for many years and doesn't have a clue what he has.

I count how many ammo cans of each caliber.
Get down to 10 ammo cans, it's time to fire up the reloading press.

Makes me want to take out additional homeowners insurance considering trying to even replace anything if I could get it.

                    I do it by weight.

Weigh one round (subtract container) then divide that into the total weight.

22's are little difficult, greater chance of minor error.

I was preparing for a 3 day pistol course and noticed I'm down to about 3000 rounds of 9mm. I'm taking about 1500 rounds with me so that means I'll have 1500 rounds (assuming I shoot all 1500) when I get back.

                      I'm used to buying couple cases of 9mm at a time @ $150/case (COE & FFL03). I don't think I'll be replenishing my stash @ $0.60/round. I'll probably just shoot a little less 9mm and shoot 45 acp a little more (1400 rounds left).
