I know everyone says to be patient, and I agree, but I don't agree with the lack of communication. Even if something comes up, work, family, etc, a 30 second message letting you know he had personal stuff come up and apologize for it being delayed would be warranted.
You probably have nothing to worry about, unless you paid PayPal friends and family or something similar. How was his iTrader?

It was through my bank which even with Zelle offers some recorse. My hopes are not high. It was not a smoking hot deal, just reasonable. And I do deals like this all the time though granted it is with music equipment and not scopes but having never been scammed before It felt fine. No Alarms.

It's easy to judge...up to now with no comms, I'd say you got intercoursed and it will be a major pita to get your money back.

I'd give it a week. These are difficult times for everyone; a bit of patience is needed.

That's the California excuse and I've seen it here a bunch. People are so busy with other stuff, and/or their 4th Grandmother just died. He's still got OP's money and won't communicate.

Be patient - real people aren’t Amazon. For instance our local post office isn’t open weekends and closes at 5:00 so mailing things locally isn’t always easy.

Same California excuse. Our local PO is open Saturdays from 10 to noon and that's it. I'll promise shipment not later than the end of the next business day, excluding weekends. It that said, sounds like he had a week to ship. I'll promise a tracking number sent by an sms photo not later than the same day I drop it off at the PO.

Be patient and give it a week, especially if the seller offered to ship it in the up front price.
All the carriers are being slammed. I still have returns in the trunk of my car because of the lines out to door at UPS and USPS.

So the seller should have shown up at UPS or the PO during his unbelievable busy schedule.

Off topic a little, but you could have shipped UPS collect-o- delivery service...with cash only. That gives the buyer time to get exact change since he knows the shipping amount. The PO may also offer that service...not sure.

Not sure why the seller needs to get exact change for a COD payment that the buyer would be paying if the seller shipped it COD.

I hear you. 10 posts is 10 more than any scammer whose contacted me from a WTB. We spoke a lot, we spoke on the phone, we haggled. We talked guns. He talked to me for a couple days after he had my money... I’m still surprised

And i trader is hit or miss. Most my transactions have received nothing

I sent $600 via Zelle on Sunday to a guy with 45+ feedback and he just shipped my item today. I had to ride him a bit.

I usually give low itrader guys the benefit of the doubt for deals under $100, everyone's gotta start somewhere. I've been fortunate so far, but I am a little more cautious if they have joined recently. For big dollar deals, I stick with more mature members.

I hate scammers. This past week, I have sold 2 fly rods on the Facebook marketplace. The 1st was for $550 as soon as his payment hit my PayPal account, I went to the post office to ship it. Same day. Last night, I sold another for $300. This afternoon, I will be sending it out. Dammit people, if someone pays you, send it within a day.

iTrader is not hit or miss when you are talking response to a WTB ad that requires you sending hundreds of dollars to a stranger via ZELLE for a product you have never seen. Seriously where have you been hiding? People are getting scammed here EVERY SINGLE DAY in the exact same way.

iTrader and join date and post history (meaning quality and quantity of posts) are everything when it comes to this type of transaction.

No one ever said a streetsmart education was cheap though, and you just got schooled. Lucky it only cost you $550 for the class. Your bank will not help you. Zelle is cash, otherwise it fails and no one trusts it. You will not be getting your money back.

9 posts of no value, then nothing since December 3rd.

If considering selling to a low post count, Zero iTrader member, take some time to look at the actual posts, they will probably be very telling.

my wife works at home due to scamdemic. she sells stuff on ebay and will pack and ship the orders the same day or the next day if she's running late.
