Probably better off just burning your house down to the ground on your own, and killing your puppies and kittens on the way out the door, least the Government do it to you later.Comment

I do see 80Pbuilder no longer advertising complete kits, and just sells kits minus the P80 frame, as is another wholesaler.
Fandffirearms shows out of stock on everything, but that's not much of a big deal as he just took money and never shipped anyway.
karrisguns.com no longer sells P80 complete kits.
uspatriotarms now sells kits minus the P80 frames.
Seems like the retailers got the ATFs message loud and clear. Choke tens of thousands by bringing dozens to heel.Comment

Also, 80Pbuilder no longer has their website in Spanish, which I always thought was a tip of the hat to our cartel friends south of the border.Comment

So atf says you cant sell as a complete kit. But it is fine if someone buys all the parts to make their own kit from one retailer?
That is some pr bs they are spewing. You know atf wants a list of anyone who bought a p80.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... it takes some mental gymnastics to uderstand some things in life but i kind of understand this
atf works with "intent"
selling a hunk of plastic the seller may intend the purchaser make a "firearm"
but selling a pistol kit shows the seller intends the purchaser to make a "pistol"
there is no difference to a normal person in that statement but there is to lawyers
i also understand why the supreme court is refusing to take the election matters first off is "standing" possibly a voter could start a class action for disenfranchisement but their recourse it to take it to the legistlature and unfortunatly in the minds of the court the voters are responsible for choosintg the legistlature so it becomes an circle of blame that turns to an undefinable tangle in which the citizens would sue themselvesLast edited by bohoki; 12-12-2020, 11:24 AM.Comment

Interesting timing - who else got this latest Classic Firearms email?
Stop calling them Lawmakers. It only encourages them.Comment

But it is legal in many states for one to make a pistol from these kits and not have to report it to the government. So why now? And why raid instead of issuing a c&d to p80? There has been zero laws broken by p80.it takes some mental gymnastics to uderstand some things in life but i kind of understand this

i guess its a bit like selling charcoal, stump remover and rose fertilizer separate as opposed to selling it all together
felons are allowed to purchase any of those items or all of those items but selling the items as a kit (including a mortar and pestle) to a felon knowingly or unknoingly may show intent (conspiracy) or reckless disregard
and don't forget i am a moron
they are allowed to make up laws in their minds and enforce them and then claim oopsie daisy thats how i thought the law workedLast edited by bohoki; 12-12-2020, 11:39 AM.Comment

So far, all I've read is ATF is interested in "complete" kits sold by Polymer80 and not just the 80% itself. And only sold directly by Polymer80 so far.
Anyone have first hand accounts of ATF caring about just the 80% self? Or "complete" kits not sold by Polymer80?
I'm not familiar with what a "complete" kit entails... is this everything including slide/barrel assembly? Or is it only the "lower" parts?Comment

I built my 80% using mill . I never knew the polymer 80s were a complete kit to fully assemble a functional handgun with no machining required. To me that is way to easy for prohibited people to get handguns. Surprised it took this long for hammer to fall.Last edited by edgerly779; 12-12-2020, 11:49 AM.Comment

I disagree.
Yes, it is a parts kit. It does not contain a firearm as defined by the law. A "firearm with some assembly required" is not a legal definition or even close. Their product contains parts, and parts is parts. That's clear from the current working definition of a receiver.
Your argument might be "clear", but it has no basis in the statutes.
You can rage all you want, but clearly I was correct in my thought process. I never said it was legal to do, I never blamed anyone for anything, all I did was lay out an apparently correct analysis of why the ATF was going after P80.WTB Oakhurst stamped CZ firearms
